ooooo, DC'ing on dry hair with ORS replenishing PAK, cholesterol, coconut oil. and moisturizing with juice. hair type: 4a.

Silk Elements Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment. I saturate my hair with this and sit under the dryer for 20 minutes. Lots of slip and super soft hair without feeling weighed down.

4a and 4b mixed. Argan Oil is pretty good... if you can find it now! Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. Nexxus Humectress Deep Conditioner. Aussie Moist can come through sometimes. ORS Replenishing Pak - I used this for the first time ever this week and my hair has felt so good that I decided to blow dry it for the 1st time in over a year.

I think butter comes after time and with having a good moisture/protein balance.

I let someone else do my hair recently - used their products and I lost my butter. I'm still working on it 1 week into it. So this is just to give you an idea - it a delicate balance.

I also don't mix products.

For some girls, butter comes from Silicon Mix -
For some girls, butter comes from making their final rinse with an acidic conditioner
For some girls, butter comes from DC on dry hair, using a moisturizing shampoo and a decent leave-in
For some girls, butter comes from oils
For some girls, butter still eludes them.

I can get butter through technique. I'm finding more and more the product is inconsequential as long as it has a few key elements.

**Be careful not to equate butter - with overly moisturized hair.

you moisturize with juice?? How do u manage that? Doesnt it just drip off ut hair? Interesting! What fruit juice u use? Sorry for the thousand and 1 questions! =)

Kimmaytube's leave-in conditioner recipe (KC knot today + aloe vera juice + jojoba oil + castor oil) makes my hair feel soft all week long.

Also QB Burdock Root Butter Cream is a great moisturizer without feeling too heavy.

I'm 4B.

Motions CPR Shampoo and Motions CPR Conditioning Trearment as a DC followed up with chi keratin mist and chi silk infusion

Mizani Thermasmooth Shampoo and Conditioner followed up with lacio lacio leave in and redken smooth down heat glide

Mizani Botanifying Poo and Moisturefuse conditioner followed by Rusk Smoother Leave In and Sallys Argan oil

Of course you can always use BBD Stretch as a leave in and follow up with BBD Flatiron lotion but those products are too hard to find to recommend...

Just a few of my favorite combos.

Biosilk Silk Strate.

It's a non-chemical heat activated (works great without heat too) straightner, serum, heat protectant that leaves the hair super soft. This stuff is GREAT!

It is NOT the regular Biosilk. It does NOT contain alcohol.

DCing with Elasta DPR

Also, putting my moisturizers (ORS lotion and mango butter) on air dried hair, sealing with cocasta oil and covering with saran wrap before taking a long hot shower. My hair always comes out so soft and shiny.

YES YES YES!!! Kimmay's leave-in conditioner has me sounding like the girl in the Herbal Essence commercial :spinning:

Try cooling your leave-in conditioner...refridgerate it. I couple this with the baggied roller method. My hair feels.....oh so goooood!!

Joico K-pak 17 min. miracle process, w/ a few alterations. I use Roux porosity control instead of Joico cuticle sealer, and I leave each step in for a minimum of 20 min; so really it's the Joico 60 minute miracle for me. I upped the ante once by doing it at the gym, and I sat in the sauna (dry heat) with the reconstructor on my hair, and sat in the steam room with the intense hydrator. Now that right there....it was on, had me hand-gropin' on my hair all day. I'm thinking I may need to invest in a steamer to create that feeling at home....but I digress.

clarifying with Pantene daily clarifying shampoo, follwed by shescentit bananna brulee 30 min w heat, followed by ahpogee greentea and keratin leave in and shescentit moisture mist leave in, sealed with afroveda coco latte moistue mask. Air dry and upa clip it. so soft I didnt even need to moisturise till next wsh day. Cant wait to do it again
