Finally dusted off my lace wig...

I was so excited to finally straighten my hair after 3 more months of protective styling and I had a concert over the weekend that gave me a good reason to do it. Well, humidity happened and the straight look didn't last AT ALL.

Now what? I decided to finally put a full lace wig I purchased a while ago to good use. I roller-set it about 3 months ago and never took the rollers out. I took them out today and separated the curls. It looked really pretty so I tried it on and pinned it down (don't do the glue thing) with bobby pins.

This was the result:

I've been wearing it around the house just to get used to the look. I'm kind of nervous about wearing it to work when I go in on wednesday.

What do you ladies think?

I think it looks good. I am contemplating purchasing a full lace wig, only have lace fronts right now even my indian remy is lace front, and using wig clips for the back and just pinning the front. You are making me think that I can pull it off lol  Great job! It looks very natural!

I totally forgot that I purchased some wig clips a few months ago, too! Thank you for the reminder b/c my silly behind would have gone out to get some more.
:bighug:

Go on and get that full lace if you like. I'm sure the lace fronts you already have are nice too and no matter what you decide, it'll look great! Just make sure you post pics!

I wore the wig to work today...

I am very surprised at how natural it looked and how well the curls held up in high heat and humidity all day...and I mean I was outside for 5 of the 9 hours I worked today. Even the bobby pins stayed put....no sliding or adjusting.

Roller set on a lace wig + crappy weather =

Not sure why I waited so long to try this bad boy out!

I think it looks quite natural! You should just wear it to work, because it looks like your real hair, just rollerset. IMO, those are the best wigs, the ones that look like they could be your real hair! I wish I could find one like that! I have a FLW in my fotki, a wet-n-wavy look, but I want to try other styles. Everyone thought mine was my own hair b/c I'd had my own hair hidden for months! lol, your wig looks so nice!

P.S. I don't do the glue either, I just use clips or bobby pins on the edges and it works perfectly!

Thanks everyone!

I wore it again yesterday and the curls fell a bit but it still looks good. I don't know how I'll feel about having to wash and condition two heads now every week though on top of re-roller setting the wig...lol.

We'll see how long this lasts.

I just purchased some curly half wigs that I wanted to try for a while.
