Half Shaved Head... Would You??

Hey Ladies, it's been like forever since I posted anything, so not sure how much this has been discussed.

I know everyone is aware of all the recent "head shavings" in Hollywood. I actually like it and have been thinking about doing it. Well, actually I've pretty much made up my mind that I am going to do it.

I have not seen one non-celebrity with this hairstyle and was wondering am I the only one who actually likes this style or are there others and what better place to ask than here.

Ok so I'm not going to go as extreme as Cassie but something like the pics below is more of what I have in mind.

No way. I don't have the celebrity to pull that style off. Plus, it would drive me plum crazy that the shaved part of my head would be the shortest part and would need to eventually catch up with the rest of my hair.

I actually think its cute. Me personally, I wouldnt do it unless I had a short cut...which I thought about temporarily...like a mini curly fro with the sides shaved.
In Atlanta many non-celebs are doing it which is a reason I wouldnt do it in ATL. If you have a job where you can do it, then its all good!

Nope. My friend shaved her hair into a mohawk with GORGEOUS designs on the sides shaved but it looks a mess growing in. I think this is a style that 10 years from now we'll be saying "WTH were we thinking?!" lol

Yeah I live in a fairly small town and nobody with long hair is doing it. I've had long hair my entire life and this would be so out of character for me. I just want to do something I've never done before and shock some people. lol

Yeah, you're probably right, just look at what people are saying about the Gheri Curl now and we know how popular that was. I think that pretty much goes for any "trendy" hairstyle though.

Did any of these celebs think about how it is going to look when they try to grow the shaved hair out? Last month, I saw this woman w/ the shaved mohawk that look HAWT! It remind me it's a summer thing and what she is going to do when weather gets colder.

I personally do not like this look at all, but I am a big believer in people (especially women) doing what brings them happiness. I say go for it! You are used to having long hair so the shaved part will be a nice change of pace. Please post pics if you go through with it.

I voted no. But that is because I'm trying to grow my hair out so it wouldn't fit the plan! I don't think it looks bad on some people, just a SLIGHT shave on the side...but that's just me.

LOL! When me and my friends first saw Chris Brown's video "Crawl"...all the men jumped back in shock when they saw that one third of Cassie's head was 100% bald. They said they would have walked up to her (seeing the side of the head with hair) and quickly walked away (seeing the side of head with NO hair...lol)

That's actually what I was thinking of doing for the weekend, but I want to surprise my mom and my sister and didn't want to give them any ideas about what I'm going to do. All they know is that I'm going to the hairdresser which is something I haven't done in over 3 years!

Wow, these poll results are so interesting. So far there's only one person who said they would do it but are too scared. I thought there would be a lot more of that one.

I wouldn't do it. Unless you are fond of wearing weaves, wigs, braids etc. Some kind of hide you hair style, this haircut is going to look ridiculous when you are ready to grow it out.

IMO The 80's style was better with the short/medium length hair with the shaved side. I think it looks pretty stupid with long hair. IT almost looks like they just had surgery. But if you are growing out your hair, i really don't see the point of this style.

Definitely do you, but IMO I wouldn't do it-- not now anyway. I've seen too many people sporting that look and it's kinda old now.
