So, I'm going to NYC in 3 days (I'll be staying in Brooklyn) and I"m thinking about doing my BC while I'm there since there are basically no real natural hair specialists in Tulsa. Please list some salons/stylists info here for me:grin:. I'm not looking to spend $85 dollars for a haircut, though:look:. I've already looked into some of the more renowned/popular natural salons:nono:, they're too rich for my blood.

Help me!

Mo Hair Salon on E 13th st. They're not strictly natural but Mike is amazing with cuts and will give you a beautiful BC. Call and get a consult :)

Hey hun! I know of some but they're the super upscale type places:ohwell:

If all you need is a BC, I'm thinking you could go to a barber and tell him you only want the relaxed ends off and to keep the kinks. They won't argue with you and they'll probably be more conservative with you since you're a woman and they'kl probably be scared:giggle: Then, if you want them to add product afterward you can bring your favorite products with you....just a thought. I'm all about cutting corners these days!:yep:

Thanks ladies! BMP, I thought about doing that exact thing, was hoping someone knew of a shop, though.

I 2nd this, I went to him after I cut my relaxed hair off and had him clean it up for me. He is super nice but make sure he gets you even all the way around. I left there a little lopsided and had to clean it up later on, on my own, it was no biggie though. The cut will be super cheap, I think I paid $20 and that was in 2008.

I also agree with BMP, if you go to a Barber they will give you a nice cut as well.

Which ever you choose dont get an edge up, keep you natural hair line. IMO it is more feminine.

hey, did you ever end up choppin?!?!
