It is her and I think she is in London. My friend is a stylist in London and she tweeted early this morning that she loves Janet's new do. She was styling her for something today.

I think she is texturized because Penny's hair didn't look like that but I could be wrong. Either way the close up pics look nice.

I love any woman that is brave enough to take the plunge...despite going with what is standard in the entertainment world ...that you are only beautiful if you have long, relaxed flowing tresses

I like most of what she does to her hair.
It looks like a nice quickie style to me.
Dunno if it's natural or relaxed...but I do like the look on her.
My thought is she'll be back in weave, something next.

I love it and I hope she does like Solange keeps it for a while. 1) To me it looks like she has a texturizer. But that's okay - it's the cut that counts. Repeat - it looks fab. 2) Maybe she's been keeping her hair short under the weaves and this time she decided to skip the weave. When you've had a life changing experience like Janet did with Michael's passing it's normal to want to shake things up in your life. This is a new chapter and era for her and it makes sense that she wants to try a new look. She's always been very fashion forward anyway and doesn't strike me as a short hair phobe.

Oh yes MUCH better when you see it up close! I remember when I cut my own hair like that. I felt so fierce. couldn't tell me nothin'!

I am so proud of black women for stepping out and doing their own thing - relaxed and natural. I've had weaves, braids, wigs, etc and it's just nice to see more of us coming 'out of the closet' so to speak and doing 'us'.
We need our own national hair holiday.

I actually like her hair.....whether it is relaxed, tex-laxed, natural or whatever...I still thinks she looks fabulous ...I agree with Nasdaq Diva...kinda hard to make her look bad no matter how she wears her hair....But hey I try to find the good & beauty in everyone...so what do I know...just IMO

I always assumed big chops were referring to chopping off all your relaxed hair and leaving only the natural remaining.
