Now that we have BKT is there a need for the big chop?

I am a year into my transition and I had plans to do mini bc's along the way. Well now that I used BKT last week and the comb went through my two textures like butter... I have to wonder if just small trims over the next year or two is all I need?? The whole idea of a BC is to avoid stress of two textures.... well BKT does this hands down.

Yes it does it's job well ;) I love it. I am enjoying this better than any relaxer I've ever had :yep:

Yes me too!! It feels so good knowing your natural yet you have control over your hair at the same time. I am kicking myself for not doing this the last time I tried to transition... I would actually be natural now but it got too hectic for me and I relaxed.

Your absolutely right, I like wearing my hair straight but when I am Lace Fronting it, I don't want to pull on my freshly relaxed hair and have to wait until my relaxer grows out 2 months. This allows me control of my hair and a better Swang than a relaxer could offer. I am set to relax again but If this BKT does me well, I just might nix it until further notice ;)

Is BKT an alternative to a relaxer to keep from having to get touch ups?

BKT softens your texture and makes it more manageable... but its not permanent and washes out after a few months. LOVE IT :)

I love BKT and I love my hair.. but even if I didn't have a BKT.. I wouldn't BC. I don't understand the point of it.. and I love my length.. so no way... I'm not in a rush to be completely natural either...

20 months post and counting... BKT makes it effortless.. don't know why I texlaxed in the first place... peer pressure probably...
