Is there anyone that uses a coffee pot to make teas? I thought I read it in the past on the board, but can't seem to find a quick answer using the search. I have powders and was wondering if I brew them in the coffee pot, will the teas be strong enough? T.I.A.

I would use a small coffee maker to brew my teas because it's easy and there is little clean up involved...

I have found that the strength of the teas weren't any less had I brewed it in a pot for awhile...But if you do want it stronger then I do suggest brewing it a different way...

Thanks. I use to do the powders in a coffee filter, tie it tight, then let steep in hot water for a day. I was going to throw my coffee maker out, and then I thought hmmmm, this would be a whole lot easier. Just wanted to be sure I get the full effect since the powders will not be steeping as long.

Most definitely...I was upset when I started brewing that way because I could have done it all along...:spinning:
