As for the definition, yes, it's a diaper. But it's also a tight curl. I understand why some don't use the word. But she should use the definition that fits.

I love how you write! I can appreciate an economic use of words when the situation requires it but otherwise, I much prefer for words to be treated lavishly than miserly. As you said, the language is so expansive - why not acknowledge that by making full use of it!
