I was actually going for the Janelle Monae look, but my hair isn't long enough, so I had to get creative. The night before I french braided the back... as you can see my hair is SUPER thick so this took FOR-EV-ER and then I flat twisted the front, tied it down with a silk scarf, fluffed and thought I was cute..lol:grin:.

Is this kind of sort of halfway a Protective Style since MOST of the hair is in the french braid? I feel like I can rock this for a few days, just redoing the front. Let me know, you gals are so intelligent! Thanks in advance...LHCF has been a lifesaver!

The braid isn't perfect, but my hurting arms said it was so...

That looks really cute! I would consider it a protective style, it is not rubbing uo against anything :)

That's really cute. I wish I could french braid. I would consider it a protective style.

yay!...a protective style I can do... My hair is layered so I looked like I had wings by the end of the day with a bun and I can't stand to sit for braids anymore.

VERY cute! so cute infact uve given me an idea on a style I want to try as well.. I;m thinking the front the same but the back french braided up with maybe 3-4 braids from the bottom going towards the top (hope that makes sense) but thanks for the idea.. I LIKES ALOT :yep:

and yes I too would consider this a protective style
