Sometimes I get so caught up in the other forums I forget while I am really here. Since I joined, I decided to transition to natural because maintaining a relaxer is too harsh for my scalp and hair. This site has given me the confidence to try being natural despite my extremely tender head, the tools and tricks of the trade, and the knowledge on how to get it straight with out a pressing comb *shudders at the thought*

At this point the plan, is to BC for my 35th birthday in February 2011 after 16 months. I am styling with wet buns and bantu knot out's *love them*. Most likely there will be no braids or weave *the thought of taking them down makes me weep*, but I am willing try some Senegalese twists.

i think your a 3c because when u stretch out (manipulate) the curls, they lay as waves....as appose to 4a....when you stretch them out...the appearance doesn't change. but don't quote me on that.

I'm in month 8 too! Yay!
Our hair looks kind of similar. If I had a decent camera that would give me good texture shots, I would show you. Mine are a bit looser but I think we are hair cousins!
Also, I used Senegalese twists from November - January and then again from February - April. They worked great for me but they are a hassle to remove and detangle and all that, but I think it's worth it to get 2 months of wash-n-gos and no hair drama dealing with that demarcation line!
