1B or a 2??

uummm whichy one am I? about to order some 1/2 wigs and I need help.

@ OP.....definitely dont get 1 anything 2 I think would match....I thought 4 was brown?...whichever is brown is what you should go with

I think you could go w/ either. Can you go to a BSS and try one on? The thing is, that some manufacturers have variations, ya know like some 1B's are darker than others. I'd hate for you to order the wrong color, because usually there is no refund on wigs.

Thanks guys I normally go with a 2 but for some reason I think my hair is a lot darker. I will probably go to the BSS tomorrow and try one on for sure. I'm getting all sensationnel half wigs so I'm not sure if the color would vary b/t wigs or b/t brands.

Hmm....maybe it's the flash because your hair looks my color and I get a 4. 2s are way to dark for me.....if you've tried 2 and it's too light then go with 1b i guess lol

I think you're a 2 but it's hard to tell. When I go to the bss they would either try different colors on me or help pick the color for me. There was an older guy who was SPOT ON! And I almost argued him down because I just knew I was a 1B.

I'd say a 2, for sure. Sensationnel 2's look very realistic, and u look like my color. The wig in my avi is a 2 if that helps any

I would look also at a 2 and 4. Your way to light for one I do a solid 1 so your brown in my eyes! of course I just go them sliced a few months ago!

I'd say 2 as well. You hair looks about like my color. I thought I was a 1b until I tried one a 1b and found out it was too dark. However, go to your local BSS and try it out before hand. Also, remember that different wig makers colors vary. What is 1b for one wig can look more like a 2 on another wig. HTH!

OP, I have mixed two colors before 1B and 2. IIRC, I think that's what I did here:

I would say a 2 also but as you said CP the flash could be misleading. I agree with SS in that you should try some on at the BSS. Also as SS said its all about the brand/ make as there can sometimes be huge inconsistencies between the brands.

definitely 4. 4 is brown where as 2 is like an ashy black in my opinion.

off the bat, id say a 2, but go to the store and match it physically. Some brands vary in color even if they're the same color

The problem with the numbers is that some wigs the coloring and the number may be different from each design.

Do you have a wig store or BSS near you? I would go there to make sure the other problem is that what you see in inhouse lighting may be different than what you see when you are outside in direct sunlight.

I found a few stores that would let me go outside with the wig and place it up against my head to see if the colors worked together.

But I agree with the others you are somewhere around the 2s or higher.

^^Yup I went in today already and I tried on a 2 and a 4 and a 1b/30. the 2 and 4 (each from diff. brands though) was the consensus.
