Question: Can I relax/touch up my edges and then do a Protein treatment? I've never done that before, so figured this would be the best thread to ask.

Are these the steps?
Touch up
Protein treatment
Neutralize

OR

Touch up

Protein Treatment

1. Touch up
2. Protein
3. Neutralize

I agree with Taz .

Prior to using the Phyto specific relaxer, I have even done a 10 min. protein treatment with heat after neutralizing in addition to the protein step before neutralizing. Being that this relaxer contains soy and egg proteins, I have eliminated it from my relaxer reggie.

I use the aphogee 2 minute treatment. It works great.

I have used a couple that were good

Motions Silk protein conditioner- especially if you can find the old formula
CB Smoothe Reconstructor
Aphogee 2 minute

mizani moisturefuse- I used this for the first time last relaxer with regular mizani mild relaxer per the instructions and it was very nice

Sebastian Penetraitt
Redken Deep Fuel
*Next Relaxer I may use either Tigi Dumbe Blonde or Nexxus Keraphix*

The Week Before I always use Nexxus Emergencee with Heat

Next time possibly Rolland's Una or a reconstructor I have by Vitale. *Can't think of the name* -- A Foaming Protein to be used specifically after relaxing prior to neutralizing

IK You Have some GOOOOOD Stuff Down in those Crates!

btw: I have like a L'anza Reconstructor and AG Fast Food, Alfaparf (which I love and others), but IMO think those are a little too 'lightweight' for the Mid-Step.
