Air drying your hair overnight

What do you put on your hair to prevent from getting the pillows wet? A plastic cap would keep it wet......Thanks in advance!

I airdry in a rollerset all the time. I just make sure to blot the hair dry before rolling my hair. If I'm airdrying in a bun, I blot with a towel also. My hair is never so wet that I require a plastic cap. My regular scarf works just fine.

When I airdry, I don't leave my hair soaking wet. My hair is only a little damp by the time I finish moisturizing and twisting / braiding. I just place a satin bonnet over it and call it a night

Mine is also not soaking wet. I don't put anything else over my hair bc I want it exposed to the air so that it can be as dry as possible the next day.

I moisturize comb it straight back and put a nylon cap on it. The ends are starting to stick out now, so I would probably use 2 satin rollers on the ends hanging out of the back.

I do the same thing now and sit under the hooded dryer 'cause I don't like to go to bed with a wet head in the Winter. I airdry in the Summer only.

Okay I'm done now. I have the satin cap on. I didn't mean dripping wet but leaving a slightly wet spot from being damp. lol If I air dry its during the day and free. Overnight is something new for me. I've left conditioner in my hair overnight but with a plastic cap.

I try to get under the dryer for 10-15 min. It drys up the excess water. Then I let it airdry the rest of the way overnight. I have to do this actually for braidouts or twistouts because of the length and thickness of my hair, my hair doesn't fully dry overnight without that little headstart.

If you use a bonnet your hair wont be all the way dry by morning, I always airdry my rollerset but only cover my rollers with a net so that the air will be able to dry my hair by morning . works just fine for me.

Cara I wanted to sleep peacefully and not on hard bumpy rollers. lol All sections were dry minus 2 sections. Those 2 sections were 95% dry. Just a TAD damp. Not bad and thank you all for the replies.

sometimes i drape a microfiber towel on my head and gently wrap it around the length of my hair i leave it on for 20 minutes or so, it soaks up the excess water, then i apply my products of choice and tie it down with a scarf so i can bun in the morning

My hair is never soaking wet when I go to bed, I always wear my microfiber hair towel right out of the shower up until I'm in front of the mirror ready to start parting.

Another option is to start earlier in the evening. I usually shampoo and shower right after dinner with the fam. Then my hair is almost dry before I go to bed. I put into two bantu knots tie up in a scarf and have bouncie curls in the morning.

I towel dry then I put on a twistie turbie towel. I also usually put a towel on my pillow jic.

If my hair is loose, I don't put anything over it because it will mess up the shape. I just sleep in a way that my hair is fanned out over my back (I sleep on my stomach.)

If my hair is twisted, I just put my bonnet on.
