I did NOT know this. I will try olive oil tonight. In the past, I had used coconut oil and washed it out the night afterwards. I think the fact that I tried all sorts of sprays to remoisturize my hair -- including some with glycerin -- did not help the situation at all - unfortunately. :ohwell:

olive oil can dry your hair out too.

i use coco oil on my scalp, and mixed with egg or yogurt for a deep condish. ive tried leaving olive ,castor or coco oil on my head with a cap and it felt dried out as well. i like them in rinse out situations or scalp massages.

I cant take the smell of Amla oil. I have some Surge oil and maybe I try that. Did you do the Ginseng oil with a plastic cap?

No. I used a silk scarf. The only time I use a plastic cap is when I use conditioner mixed with oil or olive oil or coconut oil by itself. I didn't rinse out the Ginseng oil the next day, either. I waited until I shampooed to rinse it out.
