OK, so I've been transitioning for over 8 months now. I recently had a braid install and took them out. 
Anyhoo, I wash and con my hair. Once I took a look at what I had to deal with I was like 
. I couldn't take the two textures anymore. It was becoming difficult. Especially since my hair is very fine.
So I did it. I called up my girlfriend and told her I was coming to her salon. She did my BC... she took off a lil more than what I originally asked for but I was ok with it. I had a little breakage from the braids int the back, so I wanted her to even it out some.. so it would blend in.
I also prepared myself and went and bought some KCCC. Let me just say that I love this product. It is definately a keeper and with my fine strands, I only needed a tad bit.... that's it.
After I BC'd I came home with a scarf tied around my head...walked in the door straight past the kids and to my bedroom. DH was in there and he looked at me like why do you have a scarf on. I snatched it off, he choked on his water. After he got over the shock, he said.. well its only hair. Then he had a flashback and said.. hmm I looked really cute (my hair was this length when we got married).
Anyway.. here's some pics of me coloring my hair with Clairol texture and tones (I hate my brown hair)
This was after I poo'd, dc, applied Knot Today and KCCC:
at my curls they are all seperated....
Please don't ask me what I was doing with the arm in the air... I have no clue....
I have a lot of shrinkage too... but I'm happy with the outcome!!!
