I've been struggling to find low manipulation techniques w/o heat. The problem was that I struggled with tangles and knots in my fine strands, which ultimately led to splits and breakage.
Well! I just discovered (a little late) Aveda's Be Curly Line--poo, conditioner and leave-in--and I can't believe how shiny, bouncy and defined my curls are with this stuff. What's more, I'm not experiencing tangles or breakage, because of the mild proteins in the ingredients. Now, in the past, I thought I was protein sensitive, and perhaps I am. However, the formula is such that it leaves my hair feeling strong and soft.
BTW, I finished the twists with Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Thanks for the head's up LHCF! This stuff is the bizness!
