ur hair is sooooooo Pwetty!!!!! i seriously want to touch it!! LOL. and wow what a great price for that style. great job!

I have used the following and not necessarily together.

24/7 moisture lotion by Hairveda
Wipped Jelly by Hairveda
Megasilk leavin in Moisturizing Cream by Silk Elements
Almond Glaze by Hairveda
Shaealoe butter by Soapersupplies
Regular or Olive Oil Styling Gel by ECO styler (maximum hold)
Alove Vera Gel or Juice
I will at times mix these in bold type with the other products above

In the front flat twists II most times will mix either the aloe vera or the ECO styler with one of the other products. Or use them alone and then spray with a braid spray or an oil.

I want the front to stay in place but I don't want it real hard after it dries either.

If you have any moisturizing cream type product that gives you softness and shine with some hold you should be able to use it when creating twists.

I even have one I made up trying to use for wash and gos but this recipe was a disaster for that but it was incredible for doing twists or comb coils.

Disclaimer: I am not the owner or seller of any of these products.

Thanks

I tried googling the name of the mousse and all I come up with is your post from here.

I found this site http://www.ethnicflairhair.com/products.asp?CategoryID=69&NewSearch=True Maybe they also sell the foam.

So ooop....now that you got these beautiful new hair pix.....maybe you can UPDATE THAT DAMN SIGGY!?!?!?!!
...i'm just sayin....I wanna see at least a 2009 update...i mean..... :)

LOL...I know I know. I need to stop being lazy and start updating my pics. That's on my to do list this weekend

I didn't know your hair could look any prettier.

It looks great . If I wasn't already natural this would make me go natural.

Dang, look at all the "thank yous" on the original post!! Your hair came out just gorgeous, and yes that shrinkage is nothing nice! See, this sounds like me---I haven't been in a stylist's chair in over 2 yrs (just one visit for highlights), and before that, about 3-4 yrs. I would love a style like this, but don't want to sit for so long!

I am truly appreciating all the kind words :) I know what you mean about having to sit so long. We were talking a lot, so it made the time move by fast. However, it's not something I could do on a regular basis...LOL

That style is very, very cute. :yep: You make me want to break my 5 year styling hiatus and get me some twists put in.

whoa, amazing..

I'm gonna head to the natural stylist soon. I'm gonna let her trim (my first since I bc'd) and do a twist too...

But I love your hair style...How long is that suposed to last...can you wash it ...what products did she used in the twisting process...

I love it..I've always loved your hair...and goodness gracious..what the ridiculousness is going on with that shrinkage??

Love the results...shiny, bouncy and beautiful :)

Boy is that pretty. And WOW @ the shrinkage.

But it's beautiful. She did an excellent job and I hope it lasts.

I love getting my hair done by a professional stylist also. Your hair came out great and I love your color.

LOVE IT!!!! I hope my twists one day look like this.
DH thought that this was a photo of my twists (extensions).

Well your hair looks great. So you're obviously doing a great job. I was just tired of doing my hair and needed a break. Thankfully I was able to find a great stylist.

Thanks :)...It's suppose to last 3-4wks. You can wash them, but that will definitely shorten the time these twist as suppose to last. She shampooed, deep conditioned with condish and a blend of oils, rinsed, then on damp hair applied a product called Silk2 Foam Elastic and twisted. After she put me under the dryer for 15min to allow the twist to set. No other product was added to my hair during the twisting process/after. And since getting them done on Wed, I have yet to add anything to my hair and it still feels/looks the same. I just cover at night with a silk scarf and sleep on a satin pillow.

LOL...Yeah my shrinkage is very deceptive...

Have only HENNA to thank for my color. Thanks for the compliment :)

Yeah...I keep getting asked if it's my real hair...LOL

Girl..The way your hair is growing, you'll be this length in no time :)

So today makes 1 week since I got my hair twisted. I HAVE NOT applied any product to my hair. All I do is cover with a plastic cap when I take a shower, and cover with a silk scarf and stocking cap at night. In the morning, all I do is shake my head and go. I've also worked out 3x since getting my hair twisted. My hair does not feel dry or matted at the ends and it still has a great sheen. My scalp is starting to feel a bit tingly (but no dandruff), so I will definitely have to add something to it this week.

My week comparison:

Black top is from last week, grey top is from today

Hey....Just wanted to let you guys know that my style did last 3wks and 1 day. It would have lasted longer, but I had a formal function to attend last Saturday night, and wanted my hair to look fresh.

It was great not having to mess with my hair. Whatever chemicals are in that Silk2 elastic foam definitely agrees with my hair. The only draw back for my was that I truly missed washing/playing in my hair. So I've decided to have my hair professionally done every 6wks. Allowing the style to last for 3, then me doing my chucky twist/twistouts for another 3wks before seeing the stylist again.

Here is my hair over the 3wk period.
