Zero Carb Isopure Shakes for hair Growth

Hi Ladies,

I was surfing and came across this thread on Isopure. Since I just bought ISOPURE yesterday to speed up my hair growth, I have not tried them all. :)

Simply Sharing, All of these shakes use Isopure Vanilla which I bought since I find buying one kind like chocolate, to be too limiting and may bore me after a while.

Happy Hair Growing!!!!

Tips
  • Resist the urge to add lots of milk when making a shake, or you will have to deal with drinking a quart of protein shake. A low volume of liquid results in a smaller glass of shake with the same protein and nutrients. The makers of these supplements explain that the protein begins to break down upon contact with water and you will not be getting the full benefit from your efforts. Always make fresh shakes [vs. saving some for later].
  • Texture is important when making a great-tasting protein shake. If you turn on the blender and leave it on high, the shake will get very dense and foamy, giving you a huge volume full of air, that is almost unpleasant to drink. If you pulse the blender on and off, the shake will have less volume and a frosty, milkshake consistency.
  • I put my MSM in there too.

Protein Shake Pantry Ingredients
Frozen fresh banana chunks
Frozen fresh papaya cubes
Frozen fresh mango cubes
Frozen unsweetened pineapple cubes
Frozen blueberries, no sugar added
Frozen strawberries, no sugar added
Frozen cherries, no sugar added
Coconut, maple, vanilla, and almond extracts (use pure and natural extracts)
Ground cinammon
Whole nutmeg
Good quality unsweetened cocoa powder (Droste, Ghirardelli, or Scharffen Berger)
Whipped peanut butter
Instant espresso powder [or ground instant coffee]
Da Vinci Sugar Free (SF) Hazelnut, Vanilla, and Strawberry Syrups
Fat Free Cool Whip
No sugar added applesauce

Prepare Ahead of Time...
- Frozen banana chunks: Peel ripe bananas, cut each one into 2-inch pieces, and individually wrap each chunk in plastic wrap. Store the banana pieces in a freezer bag and use as desired for protein shakes. One frozen banana chunk in my chocolate shakes makes it creamier.

- Frozen papaya or mango cubes: Peel and seed a perfectly ripe fruit; cut into 2-inch cubes and individually wrap in plastic wrap. Store in a freezer bag and use straight from the freezer for tropical protein shakes.

- Frozen pinepple cubes: Put about one tablespoon crushed pineapple and juice (from one can Dole Pineapple, crushed, in natural juice) into each section of a plastic ice cube tray. Freeze, then pop out the cubes and store in a freezer bag. Use as a flavoring for tropical protein shakes.

Basic Shake Formula
1/2 cup skim milk, soy milk, [low-carb milk], or water [& I haven't tried plain FF yogurt, but it might be a possibility when experiementing]
2 scoops Zero Carb Isopure Creamy Vanilla
About 1 cup ice cubes
Flavoring ingredients, optional
[Note: There is no need to add splenda to the shake since the protein powder already has it added.]

Measure the milk and protein powder into the blender. Add the ice cubes along with the flavoring ingredients you have chosen and quickly pulse the blender on and off until the shake is well-blended, creamy, and frosty. Do not add more liquid; the ice will liquefy to produce a smooth consistency.

Protein can help you lose fat while gaining muscle mass. If you are concerned about weight gain with this product, I would suggest you exercise (if you're not already doing so.) HTH
