Nope. I am hair-boring.
No, I've never bought any of the hair mists because I'm afraid of the possible ingredients. What did, though, was add fragrant oils to my daily water-oil-condish spray. I've added orange and lavender oils to my spray for scent.

@Lucie Girl, off topic but your siggy pics are always so pretty! At first glance I thougt I was looking at snapshots of an even prettier Olivia Pope. You are very inspiring for us ladies to keep up with our beauty and femininity! You rock Lucie!![]()
Now back to the topic: Yea, hair mists are definately not a must, but products that smell good always catch my attention.
I love good-smelling hair! That's part of why I love daily washing too.
A lot of the leave-ins and serums I use smell extra good: L'Oreal Ever Creme Nourishing Leave-in spray (obsessed with this stuff -- works amazingly for detangling and moisturizing, and smells like straight up perfume), Kerastase Elixir Ultime (original & the green one--have very rich, amber-y warm scents), and Redken Diamond Oil Shine (has a deep rosy smell).
I also have the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Hair Mist. It's formulated with less alcohol so it doesn't dry your hair out like spraying real perfume in your hair would do (which I've totally done with favorite perfumes before...D&G's The One smells especially nice in the hair)
