Post the video/videos that made you say "screw this" and chop of those permed and damaged ends.

Post the video/videos that encourage you to keep it pushing and stay natural

I'm sure there's someone out there right now who could use the inspiration or the little push to get them started :yep:

I'll start

HairCrush "Tips for Growing Love/Healthy Natural hair"

My hair texture/curl isn't' the same as hers, but the length/thickness of her hair makes me dream of better days.

Speaking of youtubers did anyone catch brownbabydoll's facebook post earlier where she was dissing someone with followers that wasn't making any money with it. Anyways, she deleted all of these people's comments that called her out and were telling her to keep it positive. lol Anyways, there is so much inspiration on youtube. This person made me want to try more styles. Her hair is gorg!!!

She rubs me the wrong way..Something about her irks me. I'll reserve my comments and keep this thread "positive"

CurlsOnFire23 lol well apparently she rubs a lot of people the wrong way bc they were on her page calling her out and she keeps having to delete their comments and block folks. lol Ok, thats all I'm going to say about her too. I'll keep it happy.

Nobody on YT inspired me to BC, but I guess there weren't many naturals on there at the time. BLACKONYX77 was probably my favorite natural, we have the same texture and I admire her drive and ambition.

I used to watch her stuff. I was even inspired when she did her second bc after she had some color damage. As time went on we had to go our separate ways. That's all I'm gonna say about that.

Idk if there was a specific video, but I know Curly Chronicles, ToniDaley80, and Vivacious1083 aka AGrlCanMac all inspired me because I thought their hair was more similar to my own which showed me that I could wear my own hair in its natural state.

I wish there was YouTube when I first when natural back in early 2004. This time being natural, I'm so happy there are tons of information out there.

When I cut my hair off I didn't even know there was a BC movement, all I knew is that these ladies are flat-ironed naturals and I wanted my hair to be long and thick and shiny like theirs.

Drum roll please..:woot: Presenting!

Ms. nina pruitt!

looking back at the persons who inspired me and the ones I still like now, I realize that I rlly miss the "old time" you tube .... without sponsors and partnerships .... Im seeing a lil trend with 2 of my current faves and I hope they don't become too commercialized.

Megan Jerai's natural hair vid was the first vid I saw about going natural. That vid was my deciding factor that it needed to be done. I also used to watched this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhi_Ajr5k8w over and over for inspiration. I think she's gorg!

However, KinkyCoils made me chop immediately. She had my hair, and she was talking about TWAs while rocking a fab TWA. I wanted a TWA and so I chopped lol.

RusticBeauty was maybe one of my biggest pushes to go natural. Her twistout video was the truth! She really showed me what our hair is capable of. Nikkimae2003 too. She had big chopped right before I did mine :yep:

These were also my first natural hair YTbers.

LONGHAIRDONTCARE2011

I STAN for her I swear. I could only wish for her length in combination with HairCrushe's thickness and curl pattern. *drools*

yup I seriously miss the "girl sitting in the bathroom making a video" vibe. Though I also appreciate fine editing skills and such :yep:

I guess its just a natural progression, the better video makers will always get popular and make partner.

OMG how could I forget mahogany curls back when she was in germany or somewhere like that

OMG girl I was about to post this same thing?! There are bouts of negativity but I really saw it in other videos and such over the past two days.

Then you have people try to rip others off...omg and people wonder why they see me and then they don't...the videos are fun and cute and it's cool connecting with people, but some are taking it to new heights and it's not that deep.

Not with all of the other stuff going on. Bad enough we have to deal with sh*t on an everyday basis but dealing with it on the innanets with folks that you might never meet? Girl please.

It's not better, it's what's more appealing. Some people like the whole 'she seems like we can sit down and conversation together' vibe compared to the 'oh my god i'm primped to the nines and can't be bothered with you mewling quims'
vibe that some put off.

then again, some prefer the latter.

mscurly yea maybe she feels like a celebrity but it was so funny how as soon as someone called her on her ish that post was deleted. I think some youtubers have a hard time creating that balance and come off conceited while others just keep it simple and share a lot. So many want to monetize off of subscribers and followers now. Facebook and youtube have changed a lot. Everyone has brand now and I can't blame them it just reminds me to eat a piece of humble pie sometimes because its not that serious.

kandake she just made a post on facebook and its gone now she finally deleted it but she said something to the effect that a girl was excited about having 150+ followers and that it irked her because they need to be worried getting their money up. Anyways, people started commenting and they said how they felt that she should uplift others and then it progressed to people saying she thinks she has " made it" bc of her Ph.D and that she needs to keep it positive. I was surprised bc people normally call each other out on youtube or twitter. Anyways, anyone that disagreed with her she called a bully and blocked. It was actually kind of funny bc someone would make a valid point and next thing you know the comment was gone.lol
