Ok not only am I a newbie here but I am also a newlywed (2 months). On my new journey to healthy, long hair I have to protect my fragile ends and get some deep conditioning in as well. Most of the time that means that I'm wrapped up like a mummy overnight...not too sexy. My not-even-chin-length-mane is too short for a pony, except for a tiny weeny one at the crown or two short pigtails, one to each side. Also my hubby has sensitive sinuses so some of the fragrances (yep even great smell BT) are too much for him.

Now my question: how can I get my nighttime reggie in harmony with my newlywed-still-wanna-look-sexy look?

I wear this at night

I have a black one and it kinda mimics long hair. It is neat and with a freshly washed face very attractive.

I wear mine like the woman with the pink scarf. I am looking into going to a fabric store to get some really nice silky head wraps for around the house that aren't too aunt jemaima;)

I also purchased satin pillowcases. I put them on my pillow and my husbands pillow just in case.

maybe I need to be preserving my night time sexy  my poor bf lol. At night, I moisturise apply BT and baggy followed my any satin bonnet. I think satin bonnets are OK for bed right?

Whilst doing the do :p a satin pillowcase seems appropriate, if the satin bonnet is not the look you going for when trying to be sexy :look:

There are really cute scarfs you can use and still be sexy.

I am guilty of not tying my hair down 1 or 2 times a week, but even still I wake up in the morning with my hair all over my head - WHICH IS NOT SEXY.

He would WANT me to tie my hair down.

Fortunately, my BF seems to like my choice in head coverings, but I do give him the opp to run his fingers in there sometimes.

invest in more silk items: pillows, scarves, robes, nighties...all of it is sexy and is so gentle on the hair at night...;)

Congrats on your nuptuals.

You've been given great advice from the other ladies regarding the different satin bonnets, scarves and pillowcases. Sometimes just to make things more interesting, I'll use a scarf that matches my nighties - coordinate it!!

Make sure he knows that you do all this (nightime reggie stuff) in an effort to take better care of yourself and, in doing so . . .

YOU CAN TAKE BETTER CARE OF HIM. Know what I mean:lol:   !!

Dont know why but that gave me a chuckle. :lachen:

First, let me say congrats! Secondly, I agree with the satin. Me and my bf spent the night at a really nice hotel. I was KNEW I was going to wake up with a sweater on the top of my head lol The hotel had satin pillow cases. I did sleep with my head rested on folded arms, but I'm pretty sure I tossed throughout the night (wild sleeper!). I woke up with a perfectly preserved hairstyle.

Girl, tie that scarf up and put some cute earrings on and get your sexy on....just like I do

I am glad I am not the only one that puts earrings on with my scarf tied on!! It just kinda pulls the whole look together, ya know!

and you would have been pissed that you had not tied your hair up, too!

I am SO GLAD I am not the only one with this stuff. I cannot tell you how many times I have slept "just so" when i had to go to sleep without my scarf.
Neck be HURTIN' in the morning!

My BF has cotton pillowcases, but he also have some other ones that have satin-like shams on them - for decoration. I sleep on those bad boys. He is always looking at me like :look:

I have just gotten burned and had that sweater hair!!!

Imma have to try that. I always tie up my hair, but sometimes I put the baggy on and he goes to rub my head :ohwell: and all you hear is crunch crunch.

I cover my twists with a black satin bonnet every night. If things get interesting, I snatch it off real quick. But I make sure I put it back afterwards.

I do this, too.

I know I'm bad...but I've been leaving my hair out when my bfs over while sleeping on a satin pillowcase. This wouldn't seem TOO bad...except...

he LOVES playing in my hair (loose curly braidout). I mean, he just a keeps rubbin. *sighs* So...bump bump bump!

I can't keep a scarf on anyway, so we have satin pillowcases - that does work. One of the things i have done to get my DH involved in the whole night beauty regime is to include him. He now feels neglected if he does not get his scalp massage and Aminogenesis before bed. For a minute he was scandalized by the cost of Phyto products until I started using it in his hair - all of a sudden, it is the ONLY shampoo.

I suggest including him in the night-time regime. He'll feel pampered.

To all who use satin pillowcases- it doesnt make your head sweat?

I have tried satin pillowcases in the past and woken up hot. Then again, I sleep on my side, like with half my face in the pillow. I could see how it could work if maybe you sleep on your back.

I don't sweat from mine, I get mine from the BSS. They are called satin but who knows, it is a very silky slippery fabric.

I even travel with mine for hotel pillows

I feel blessed to have a man who doesn't care about the little stuff like that. He knows my goals and supports them at all costs.

I used to think he cared so much and I called myself trying to be sexy and sleep without my scarf one night and he looked at me and went ":perplexed Can you wrap your hair?!" It was all over the place. Never again will I do that. Talk about a greasy face and dry crunchy hair?! Yuck.

But I have a black silk scarf, this one she is wearing in this photo:

My dh doesn't mind either, but I do it for me, because I always like to look good and keep my sexy going all the time....nah, no 'b-ugly' for me...

I wear a black satin scarf to bed, like the one trimbride posted. Sometimes, I wear a satin bonnet. The SO doesn't seem to mind; he's pretty used to it by now. He actually said I look cute with my scarf on! He does complain that it takes me "too long" to get ready for bed, though, but my nighttime reggie is about more than my hair. I have to wash my face, moisturize it, brush my teeth, take out & clean my contact lenses, etc. All he does is GO TO BED.:lachen:

Yep!
