I know there are a lot of challenges going around and ladies are trying to do big things with their hair in 07.

So, I thought it might be cool to see what everyones personal goal/s are for 07 and how you're achieving them.

***********************

This year I'm shoulda leanin wit it! By the end of the year I should be abouy 4 to 5 inches below shoulder -- I'm DETERMINED to maintain all 6 inches of my growth this year (no trims, no crazy self-destruction (dye, bad self-laxes ect)). At the end of the year I'll trim off about an inch and half to two inches for 4 inches of growth and will be swinging my beautiful healthy shoulder length hair into 08!

To accomplish these I'm covering my hair each night after moisturizing with my special home made hair cream (haven't seen a broken hair since I started using it!) Stickin wit my NEXXUS (no matter how much y'all tempt me to try something else LOL)

I'm minimizing combing and manipulation.

75% less direct heat.

Professional relaxers only (I'm forever jacking myself up so I give...I got a great stylist who isn't scissor happy so why not use the blessing for now!)

Take my vitamins!!!

I am also at neck level in the back and close to that in the front. I want to be full blown shoulder length by about may/june and then hopefully, I pray with all my strength and might, armpit by december. My hair grows super slow so I think i'm pushing the envelope by hoping for all this but hey, u gotta shoot fror the moon right? ;)

I know you are supposed to baggy just the ends but I baggy my whole head by doing my little moisturising routine before bed, then wearing a little plastic cap then a bandana. I hope this will give moisture to my whole hair shaft and keep my head from getting dry. Other than that I'm co-washing at least twice a week, deep conditioning once, keeping up with my protien treatments, taking all my vitamins and using MTG religiously, oh yeah, I forgot to add that I also use the jock itch stuff. It has really thickened up my temple area.

I like this thread.

My personal 2007 hair goals are:

- Deep condition at least bi-weekly (preferably weekly)
- Comb/brush a lot less - while straight i've been finger combing and manipulating less
- Wair my hair Straight in the cold / Curly in the heat (i'm not even going to attempt to maxiglide this mass of hair when it's 85 degrees w/ 85% humidity no way!)

Personal Goals this Year:

Is to grow out my TWA, I would love to get to ear length
Learn my natural hair
High Protein Diet
Just let my hair be!:)

I have 23lbs to lose. My personal challange is to love and pamper my body. Excercise and good nutrition.
Hair goals, add six more inches of growth this year.

My goal is to get to BSL with a 2-3 inch trim. I should reach this goal this year. I'm very close to BSL but my hair grows so slow, and trimming will just make it take even longer. Oh well. I want healthy BSL length hair by the end of this year.

Oh yeah, continue on my path to a healthier life... quit smoking, eat clean, and exercise. :)

Great thread! My goals are to retain as much length as possible. Some of the ladies here have the most impressive growth and I am more than inspired. I pray my hair follows suit!
Anyway, my personal goals for 07 are to have healthy & gorgeous bsl hair! And darn it, it will happen
Deep condition and henna weekly
Take care of my skin and drink water (for both hair and skin) the way I should.
Minimize heat (I'm doing very well with this)
The same things apply to my daughters.

I am basically starting over. My hair was so damaged and broken from wearing a micro linking weave for 2 yrs.

So currently it's about 7 inches long in the front.
4 inches in the back, - argg!!!

My goal is going to a healthly 11 inches all around.:)

To achieve this, I have stopped using heat, relaxing, everything.

i wash 3 times a week (co-wash twice a week, regular poo-wash once a week).

wearing clipons only to work with back of hair in corn rows.

I already have an inch of growth since starting! And best of all, my hair has stopped breaking. :)

Sooooo

My major goal this year is to stay consistent. In the last year I have not gained a ton of length but the quality of hair on my head is totally different. I am just trying to stay with it.

So far I wash and deep condition twice a week and I rollerset. I would like to improve my wet setting skills. I do a pretty good job but I want to experiment with different types and sizes of rollers.

I currently relax every 8 weeks and I would like to change that to every 10-12 weeks minimum.

I am working on on edges and hairline. I have changed how I wrap it at night and I am going to be adding boundless tresses serum and black castor oil to my regime.

I would like to retain as much as possible this year. I am clipping my hair up and avoiding direct heat. I am also going to incorparate more henna/cassia treatments to strengthen my hair as well. I hope to do these every other week and then do protein treatments once a month. I am also becoming more consisent with daily mositurizing. I am taking all of my vitamins like a good girl so that will help me along my way.

I want to do 4 relaxers this year, in March, June, September, and December! I will be experimenting with self-relaxing with Phyto in March, and if that goes well I will be self-relaxing for the rest of the year.

I also would like to retain 5 inches of growth, which would place me somewhere around full armpit length. To do this, I have to stay on top of my deep conditioning regimen, low manipulation, and protective styles. It is going to be a boring year in terms of styles.

Hey girl, how is your relaxer stretch going.

I hope the keep healthy hair
I pray that my former thickness returns
I hope to have at least 4-5 inches of growth by the end of the year. That would put me near BSL.

I haven't been having any problems. My new growth is coming in thick and tangle-free:D I am keeping heat open as an option to get me into March, but my hair is in neat pin-up right now.

What about you, how's your new growth treating you these days???

So far so good. I can't keep my hands out of it. So far queen helene cholesterol has been a life saver. I am really trying to hold off and push it till the second week in march. I got relaxed last dec.27th so anthing pst Feb 27th is good enough for me. I might have to have some one else rollerset it for me though if it gets to be too much. The octopus clips are a life saver though.

Good stuff! You're so close to Feb. 27th, you won't even have to think about it!!! I'm so glad you found your "holy grail" product. I am keeping with it until the 2nd week in march because that is spring break and I will have enough time to do my self-relaxing experimental thing w/o being rushed or too tired.

Have you decided what relaxer you wanted to try? I think I am going to do it myself or drive down to to have my LHCF stylist do it this time. I will be on spring break too.

My goal is to make it to bra-strap by my two year anniversary as a natural, the end of the year the latest. I have never had bra strap hair so i'm really hoping it is possible for me.
