Ladies, Ladies, Ladies.....there must be a serious full moon 'cause folx seem to be trippin' with all the hair touching and hater-aide stories I've seen lately. Well here is one more to add....

So on Sunday, I hennaed for the first time (using cassia). I loved the whole process - and very easy to do. I rinsed my hair and decided to go to the Dominicans to get it rollerset. Wash, deep condition, roll and dry. As the lady is taking the rollers out of my hair she comments on how shiny and full my hair feels and asked what I used to wash it with. I told her nothing but Aveda, but I did use henna in my hair. Another girl already in a chair ready to blow-out turns around and says "You can't use henna, gurl yo hair gon fallout. That stuff is for white people." We both get finished at the same time. I'm up ready to pay and this know-it-all runs her fingers through my hair. "Ohhhh it is soft. Now what kind of henna do you use"....I just gave her the look and said I don't remember and walked out.

Don't worry, I didn't give up "our secret"

Hey girl, not to change the subject, but you mentioned that you use Aveda. It seems to work well for a lot of the 4ab heads. I was just wondering how often you use it, which ones you use out of the line, and what exactly has it done for your hair?

I can only tell you that it turned my hair around and I can't pinpoint exactly what it is. But it moisturizes, easy to detangle and leave my hair soft. I use the Damage Remedy and use it every wash, but condition for 3 weeks straight, then I do my fav Alter Ego Hot Garlic treatment (to help w/shedding).

Henna is for white ppl - I think that is the best stupid question so far. It doesn't even naturally where white ppl historically live

I only tell my male and white friends about henna. But it's always nice when the naysayers come back later asking questions. :smirk:

Wow, I love this testimony, it helps me to keep on keeping on with the henna. I used cassia last week too and I see my hair is starting to develop that Superman comic book shine.

However, that crazy lady feeling all up in your hair, that's messed up right there. :naughty:

Henna is for white people???
The last time I checked it was used by Indians, North Africans, sub sahara tribes and middle eastern peoples...
Don' knock it till you try it? I'm glad you didn't give away the secret it probably would have fallen on deaf ears!

Nah, I didn't take any photos. Bu tI will be taking some this weekend to show off my "new shiny hair":lachen:

lol I'm cracking up because you wrong for that "I don't remember" remark. That poor girl gonna run out and buy the wrong doggone henna for her hair and HER hair gonna fall out! lol - That's why people just need to mind they business and keep their mouth shut when they see something working for someone else or just ask questions on how that will work if you aren't sure and if it's questionable.

soo looks like I'm gonna try the henna bandwagon myself in a few weeks.
