they don't call it a relaxer. they call it a "hair straightening system." just like they don't get weaves. they get "extensions."

My sister's mother-in-law gets Dark and Lovely relaxers and she is white. Her natural hair is very curly, but she also bleaches her hair on top of the relaxing, and it looks really dry and brittle to me.
