Also, does anyone else just kinda slack off the first week after a fresh relaxer to celebrate? You know like wearing your hair down a lot and waiting a few extra days before washing it because you know you won't see that exact salon finish again for a while? I'll be back on the band wagon in a few days~

PRETTY!!

Yes, I do kinda slack off the week after a relaxer.

I always wear my hair down anyway, but the first week after a relaxer, I find that I sometimes don't wash it that week and I use less product and I proceed with swinging my layers every chance I get. :)

Your hair is very pretty!!!

I usually get my touch-ups on a Friday and usually slack that following week through until the next Friday.

Thank you! :D Unfortunately I don't have any starter comparison pics because I'm a bum, but I'll try to keep better track of my progress from now on.

i agree it looks so healthy. I can just imagine how full and healthy it will continue to look at BSl.

Did you use the crown and glory method to grow it out or what?

Thank you! :creatures

Actually I do a little bit of the Crown and Glory with the braids One of the best things I learned how to do in college was braid my own hair!!! I will get a relaxer then wait to braid my hair after 8 weeks and then leave the braids in for about 4 months. Then I take them out wait a week and get a relaxer. I've followed this cycle twice so far in the past year but I decided to give my hair a break from braids and so I just stretched my relaxer to 3 months using a lot of protective styling, a little baggying, and mostly rollersets for the latter half of the stretch. I have been taking 2 Nioxin tablets and 2000mg of Biotin daily for the past 2 months as well.

Beautiful!!! You've done a really super job with it!!! :D

Im kinda the opposite. My hair looks flat and bone straight after a touch-up (this is a MILD one, at that), so i have to wash it a few times before it looks right. I love my hair best when its between 3-5 weeks post!

You know that's the first time I've heard that and not taken offense

You should hear all the India Arie comments I get when I'm out playing gigs.
