Yarn Braids

Did anyone wear yarn braids in the summer time?

I wore them a few times in the winter and noticed my head was so warm that I did not need a hat.

But summer? I don't know.

Good question. I'm about to do yarn braids on my dd's hair sometime soon, and I'd like to know how they hold up when swimming. Anybody???

i wear all year round. they hold moisture well in the summer, & help keep your head warm in the winter -- but i don't know about not wearing a hat, lol. they are agreat protective & retentive style.
