WTF!!! A highly racially offensive wig listing from China on eBay!

Somewhat off topic but a few years ago I was looking in an EnglishSpanish dictionary and the definition for the word n***er was "A Black person". I was shocked at the time but knowing that makes me see how something like this would happen.

Maybe this is what's happening in China as well. I've found an image of a Taiwanese shop (they sale hip-hop gear) called N*gger King (see attachment).

I wish I was more tech savvy I would have taken the screen shot and sent it to the news outlets.

It may have been a lost in translation thing but this mess has to stop. eBay , AOL and a lot of other companies need to really step up how they monitor their sites. Somewhere along the line someone had to spot that word.

that reminds me of this korean rapper who was saying n*gger in his song :nono:
:/

okay that wholesale site has some really odd stuff on it.

Just like this site has monitors for certain words so should Ebay and every site. Words Like F*** and B***** can't be said so they ****** it to death. words like that should not be allowed what so EVER!

It doesn't matter if you use it towards your own or not, it is straight up ****ing rude. Get a thesaurus for other words to use.

lmfao i'm sorry but i laughed my butt off at it....

i mean i cant be too mad at this stuff... most of what these people see about black americans come from rap videos where its every other word in the song or the daggone chorus or hook.

OF COURSE THE THINK THE WORD IS OK! the dunno english and it seems catchy and cool to them to use the words "we" use

D***, when I first saw the listing I just saw the wig and thought nothing of it then I read the title! Ebay monitors who they want and not all. They themselves should be reported for not catching this offensive seller. This is ridiculous and not in a funny way. Ebay should take that listing down themselves!!!!!!! I will check with the item no. and call ebay myself!:nono:

I just checked this listing and it's been removed like 2 min ago!

Believe me, there is no "lost in translation" phenomenon with the "n" word. I lived in Korea for 2 years, 1993-1995 while in the Air Force. My then-boyfriend (white American, also military) broke up with his Korean ex and started dating me, and she tried to get back with him when she found out he got promoted. She kept screaming, "What do you want with her? She's pucking neeeger!" He was shocked because he didn't realize she even knew the word. I laughed because there's no "f" in hangul (the Korean alphabet) and she sounded comical saying "pucking". Yeah, they know what "n" means. :nono:

Of course they know its an offensive word to black people. But they know no matter how bad they insult BW, they know BW will still run one another over to buy the pretty, long, silky textured wigs/weaves. They know the deal with black women and their hair issues.:spinning:

lmfao :lachen: ni99er brown?! REALLY?!?!

C'mon China, do better! Between this in and the "I dont need to interact with black people because I already know about sickle cell..." I may just be :dead: :ghost: permanently.

I wouldn't be surprised if employees of these sites had something to do with it.

The same thing happened with a couch label description

Okay, I can not post the link since the filter keeps changing the n word so here is the article.

True story. Racial slur on sofa label stuns family, reports the Toronto Star, April 6.

When the new chocolate-coloured sofa set was delivered to her Brampton home, Doris Moore was stunned to see packing labels describing the shade as “******-brown.”

She and husband Douglas purchased a sofa, loveseat and chair in dark brown leather last week from Vanaik Furniture and Mattress store on Dundas St. E.

Moore, 30, who describes herself as an African-American born and raised in New York, said it was her 7-year-old daughter who pointed out the label just after delivery men from the Mississauga furniture store left.

“She’s very curious and she started reading the labels,” Moore explained. “She said, `Mommy, what is nig … ger brown?’ I went over and just couldn’t believe my eyes.”

She said yesterday each piece had a similar label affixed to the woven protective covering wrapped around the furniture.

“In this day and age, that’s totally unacceptable,” Moore said.

Douglas explained the origins of the word to daughter Olivia, telling how it was a bad name that blacks were called during the days of slavery in the United States.

“It was tough, because she really didn’t understand,” Moore said. “She’d never heard that word before and didn’t really understand the concept of it.”

Moore, who has a younger son and daughter, said she’s heard the word used many times, although it has never been directed in anger at her.

“But it’s a very, very bad word that makes you feel degraded, like you’re a nobody,” she said.

Moore said she called the furniture store the following day and three other times since, and feels discouraged that no one has returned her calls.

When interviewed yesterday by the Star, Romesh Kumar, Vanaik’s assistant manager, passed the buck to his supplier, Cosmos Furniture in Scarborough.

“Why should I take the blame?” he said. “I’m a trader, I don’t manufacture. I sell from 20 companies, maybe 50 companies. How can I take care of all of them?”

He said that he would check similar stock and make sure other labels were removed.

“That’s terrible, that’s a racial … something?” Kumar said. “This is entirely wrong, but it’s not my fault. It’s my job to sell good product to people.”

He said the best he could do is to give Moore the telephone number of his supplier, so she could take it up with him.

The owner of Cosmos Furniture, Paul Kumar, no relation to Romesh, said he was upset to learn packing labels on products he sold carried a racial epithet.

“I import my products from overseas,” he said. “I’ve never noticed anything like that. This is something new to me.”

He passed the blame to a Chinese company, but apologized for the labels. He said he would contact the furniture maker in Guangzhou and demand they remove all similar labels.

Moore said she’s not sure she wants the sofa set in her home.

“Every time I sit on it, I’ll think of that,” she said.

girl, bye. so many women of other races (especially white) wear clip in extensions, or get tracks sewn in...and its not all made out of european or synthetic hair either.

White people have been wearing fake hair longer than us.... BW are not the only women to wear fake hair don't let GOOD hair by Chris Rock fool yah! And no BW won't go selling their souls for some Weave. Seems like people think they know what is in anothers mind and why they do what they do. Spend more of your energy asking questions instead of having your own answers.

Um, first of all, actually it is called hair...fur is just hair that covers the body...like covers it protectively, to the point where you can't see skin? Like most animals you see? And secondly, We are far from the only race to do this...and third, even if we were the only ethnicity to do this, how does that justify listing something on e-bay with that offensive title? If you wear fake hair-or "fur" if you prefer-you should expect and accept that people have the right to throw racial slurs your way? Is that what you're saying:ohwell:? Because if it is, everyone can make fun of practically every other race in America. And if that is what you meant, then I'm really confused by your post...That's really a jacked up way of thinking, IMO....

I saw the word on some figurines at an antique mall here in Edmonton, Canada (ni88er statuette or smthg like that). And a friend of mine at work says her mother in law uses that word liberally as a description of black people without seeing anything wrong with it, same with "coloured" I've been called that in here.

da vomit is da troof!!!

i still find it hella funny and i keep laughing at it when i see it. i think why i dont find it offensive is because i dont give a rats butt what they say, i'm not buying that 'ish. and any black women who respects her background wouldnt buy that 'ish... so once they dont get OUR money, they will learn that maybe they should change their verbiage.

dont get mad, get even by not giving them the paper :lachen: then point and laugh and say "ni99er that b!tch" :lachen:
