Why is it that everytime I wrap my hair it comes out flat, lifeless, no curls at all, and sometimes not a bend at all? /images/graemlins/cry3.gif What am I doing wrong?

To retain some curl and bend, wrap your hair (not to tight) from the center down making about 6 revolutions to completely wrap the head. When I want straighter hair, I wrap all my hair from one ear and end the wrap in one big revolution.

Are you doing a wet wrap? If so, I don't know if this will make a difference, but I do a roller set, blowing only the roots. The ends of my hair are full of curl and body when I do wrap my hair. My hair maintains the same body when I unwrap my hair. HTH

Another thing too, if you are rollersetting and then wrapping, you may have too much oil on your hair which will cause it to flatten out and you will not have any curl.

Yeah, what technique are you using: wet or dry? Rollersetting beforehand will allow for fuller hair, but I don't have the patience. I simply wet wrap my hair, dry it then put big, tight curls in it and spray a little spritz on it. I wait until my curls have cooled off then wrap it up. In the morning, my hair has a bend/curls in it until I wash again.

I do not use oil on my hair. I flat iron using only serum. I keep products to a minimum and have never had to re-apply serum or oil after initially styling it on wash day.

Are you using heavy products on your hair?

webby, How do you wrap your hair where their will still be curls after you unwrap???

I think that not only the technique, but the products make a huge difference. I use Nexxus headress to do a wet wrap set, which gives me a lot of body. What products do you use?

ITA w/ Gigi. Most of the time I rollerset my hair before I wrap it, but I get the same (a little less full) effect if I use 2 or 3 big magnetic rollers in the crown and wrap my hair around it.
