Wrapping Hair Under Wig..Whatcha Think...

I usually wear my hair in braids under my LF. Since my hair was flat ironed on Friday, I've been moisturizing, sealing and wrapping my hair and putting my wig on all weekend. Is this considered a protective style or would this cause breakage?

So far wigs have been a great protective style for me this year. I wear it every day then take it off when I get home from work.
