Would you/Will you still continue to praise &bless God even when you're down & out?

Just a question that pops in my head from time to time.

When the blessings are flowing and we're living high on the hog it's so easy to praise God.

But when you are down and out, how willing are you to praise God? Is it challenging for you?

Yes, a million times yes! I have been down and out and still praised His name and shouted my praises! And no it is not challenging because when I think I am in a bad situation, I meet someone who is worse off and I thank God for all that He has done for me!

Yes, I've been unemployed since last september and I haven't stopped praising God yet---get's hard at times, but I always know that without God I would not have anything at all.

I believe that when things are the hardest, that's when the praise should be the loudest. When you think about it, when everything is going well, it's easy to praise God. It's when things are hard that you can truly see God's glory. God uses our valleys to bring us closer to Him and to show us the importance of compassion. When you are in a better place, God will use you to show another person what He's already showed you

Yes, it is so easy to praise God when it is good however, when it gets real bad for me I still praise the Lord. When others will not praise the Lord. I seen it. I say a person must have Faith. You are not always going to get what you want. No, matter what still praise God. I have been in a Dry Season for 3-almost 4 years. I still Honor and Praise the Lord why b/c I know beyond a shadow of doubt. When God brings the rain it will pour!

For me it's hard because I feel that I lack understanding. Not in the sense of other people ( Well kinda I have CAPD) but more in the sense of what is going on. So...when I'm down and out ...I'm DOWN AND OUT...I know that recently one of the last times I really yelled at God...I didn't know what else to do...I was so upset...and when HE came to speak to me while I was alone I wasn't even listening....it feels like it took me forever to find out what it was he was telling right then

It's me praising God when I'm down that makes the up so much better.

Search my name and you will see thread after thread of me saying this is going on and that is going on but I know that God is going to show up and show out and then read my last thread late last July where he shown up and shown out. Yes, I praise him regardless of the the good and the bad.

YES, YES YES AND YES, there's sooo much I can say but I'll just say that since God is not a fair weather God, then I'm not a fair weather praiser.

Because I know eventually I'm coming out better, than what I was before.

I also recongize that the only way to know what I'm really made of and to bring out of me those hidden treasures in me sometimes God has to allow me to go through, but when I shall come forth I will be as pure GOLD.

When i wake up nowadays i say Thank you God for this new day even if i have a long day ahead of me , it just makes me feel comfortable thanking him and asking him to come along with me the whole day.

I do, on days when I feel pressured or down I will put on some praise and worship music (sometimes upbeat songs or softer worship music depending on my mood) and just make myself sing along out loud. After a while the heaviness will lift and I am good to go after that.

I usually praise harder when I'm down and out, obviously it's when I need him the most. I'll usually put my self on a spiritual challenge where I get out the bed and pray on my knees nightly and give him thanks every morning when I roll out of bed.

I find that I am the exact opposite of that. I am always seeking and talking to God when things are going bad and wondering why me? However when things are going well I tend to slow down the praising. At least that is how I used to be. DH and I are faithful in our worship to God, we know that without him we would not be here or together right now. I believe that the devil is going to destroy those that don't praise God at all times and I could see what he was trying to do in my life and over the past year I refuse to let him take control of what God has for me. So even now when I am not working, bills are behind and we are living on one income when we need to be living on 2 I praise God for my house, my car, my DH's job, my family and the job that he has blessed me with even if I don't have it right now. My faith has gotten stronger because of all the situations that I go through and I am still here.

i have been feeling down for this whole summer. But i still continue to pray and trust in God because I know that he will not give me more than I can bear. He has always been there for me before and I know that he will never leave my side

It's a challenge for me. I'm still learning how to praise God thru the hard times. I am getting there. My praise is not as strong when I'm down as it is when times are good. I tell myself that things could be worse (and I really know they could) but that just doesn't seem to sink into my spirit. But I do see progress in my life in this area from 1 year ago and I don't want to be the same person 1 year from now.
