Would You Pray for my Student's Mom

Supergirl

With Love & Silk
Things are just not going well for this family right now. The mom has lost one son and now the other son is in the hospital with the same condition that killed the other son. He is awaiting a heart transplant. He is on the priority list, so that's good.

The mom is remarried, but the new husband has anger issues and is abusive. Mom had even moved out at one time and gotten her own place with her children. There is also a step son involved and he attends our school as well. The step son has SO MANY issues. He was recently institutionalized.

To top it all off, my student (a girl) has had behavior and academic problems all year long and mom is having to face the reality that the little girl may fail 5th grade this year, which must be heartbreaking for a parent.

I just saw the mom and spoke to her about 15 minutes ago. She and I have connected a bit this year which is how I know as much as I do. I just looked at her and said "you've had to deal with so much in such a short time." I asked about the ailing son, and she said he gets to go home but he has to have a constant IV drip of something. (she named it, but I forgot) They say there is nothing else they can do for him until the new heart becomes available. She broke down and cried in front of me, and then I told her a scripture that I go to for comfort: "Those who sow in tears shall reap with songs of joy."

Bless her heart. Please pray for her and her family. Thank you
