Would my hair be adversely affected if I....

I am due for a relaxer at the end of January and I have recently started using Nexxus Keraphix to combat the constant shedding that I have been experiencing for the past two (2) years. When I bought it, the salesperson told me that I needed to use it at least once a week until the shedding stopped.

So, I was wondering if I could use it immediately after a relaxer, but before the final conditioner was put on??? Should I wait at least a week before doing another Keraphix treatment?

I don't see a problem using it immediately after a relaxer. When was the last time you used the treatment? How often during the week can you use Keraphix? With the salesperson suggesting to use it at least one week isn't that long of a time period. Is Keraphix a light or strong protein treatment??? If it's light, you could probably use it once a week. If it's strong, you might want to use it every 4-6 weeks.

I'm not exactly sure what you were asking in that second question, but Keraphix is a light protein treatment that I think should be used only once a week.

I already use it only once a week and wouldn't use it any more often than that despite it being a light protein. I was just wondering if I should take a break from it once I get my relaxer. I didn't know if it was good to use right after a chemical service or not...but like you, I am hard pressed to see how it would negatively affect my hair.

When was your last relaxer? When I used to relax my hair, I notice my hair would have little to no shedding after getting a relaxer. So I think it would be okay to take a break from Keraphix once you get your relaxer touch-up... just relax your hair, then condition it. If you want to use the Keraphix after getting a relaxer, wait a week afterwards. I guess you'll just have to see how your hair behaves after getting a relaxer to judge whether you need another Keraphix treatment or not. Hope that helps!
