I just received my Mizani Thermasmooth yesterday and tried it today. I used all four steps and ladies, this is a fantastic product! I am 8 weeks post and my hair looks freshly relaxed! This is a definite keeper for when I want to wear my hair down, and I can see this being perfect for ladies who are stretching and don't want to relax just for a special occasion.

Before anyone says it - yes this thread is worthless without pictures but I can't find batteries for my camera! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Yes, I wanna see those pics!!! But I shouldnt be talking because I used this system last month when I was post 12 wks and I was told that it looked like I had a fresh relaxer-- I really love it (although, I don't bother with the shine extend spray)
Glad to have another fan aboard the Thermasmooth train!

How Do you Use this Product?:look:

There are different instructions on how to use the Thermasmooth line depending on the texture of your hair: http://www.mizani-usa.com/pdf/THERMASMOOTH-TECH-BROCHURE.pdf

I didnt follow it to a T, but I basically washed twice with the shampoo, saturated my hair with the conditioner and sat under a dryer for 10-15 mins, towel dried and used 2 1/2 pumps of the serum, air dried about 65-70% then blow dried. Afterwards, I spritzed each individual section with the shine extend spray and flat ironed.

I wasn't that big a fan of the shine extend spray because although it makes your hair feel shiny and counteracts humidity, I didn't feel too comfy with the fact that it contains alcohol (alcohol denat, to be exact). I also felt the spray wasn't COMPLETELY necessary...but maybe it is for those who have issues with hair reverting or hair getting puffy when it's humid.
My hair was soft, shiny, and VERY straight and sleek. I was very happy with the results and plan to use it everytime I'm 6-7 wks post or more.

HTH! :)

I really want to try this but I don't want to use the final step. I don't like spritzes. Is it really necessary to use it? Most people have said they don't like the sticky feeling of it...

It was my first time, so I followed the instructions. I don't usually like spritz either, but I definitely loved the shine!

Hmm, I'm so glad that you had good results....from the title of the thread I almost thought that you had bad results. Glad it worked out for you!

@MilkChocolateOne--are you relaxed or natural. I just want to use these two steps too, but I want to make sure I'll get sleek results when I do. I'm not a fan of spritzes.

relaxed currently transitioning with 3 textures on my head (new growth, texlaxed/texturized, and new growth)

i use mizani botanfying shampoo, thermasmooth conitioner and the thermasmooth serum

For those who aren't using the spritz, are you using more of the serum to flatiron, or another product?

I used the Silk Elements heat protectant spray because I'm really paranoid like that...but I didn't use it the next time I used Thermasmooth because the serum is a heat protectant itself, of course...I think it would be okay to use a *bit* of the serum before flat ironing, but don't be heavy handed if you want that swang.:yep:

No thread containing Mizani Thermasmooth can be worthless!!

This is a staple for me whether i'm 1 week or 8 weeks post. I only use the shampoo and condtioner, I have tried all 4 products before, but I really just stick to the first 2 steps.
The serum was good, but I didn't like the spray/spritz at all.

It works VERY well at smoothing your hair a protecting it from heat. Everyone who I use it on including myself has good results. It takes the bulk and puffiness out of your hair as soon as the conditioner is rinsed you can tell a big difference.

It's a MUST for flatironing and it's great for silky shiny rollersets too.

I love it, it's a staple.

yep, this line is a real treat! any thread about it is NEVER worthless..only helps to spread the news!

Using this line is one of the rare times when i will A. use mostly all the suggested products in a line and B. follow the directions to use any product to a tee.
worth every penny imo!

the word spritz just turned me off, so i never bought it.

I purchased this line 2 weeks ago, and I will try it out this evening. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I used this earlier today before church. I went trick or treating with my son last night and it rained on my head. Needless to say, I was going to skip church because my head was jacked up. But, I read this thread and pulled out the shampoo and conditioner. I used the chi silk infusion instead of Step 3. Blow dried with the cool shot button and used step 4 with the Chi flat iron.

I made it to church with 1 minute to spare.

So, I would agree that this thread is not worthless..

I use very little of the spritz. First time I tried it, I used too much and I did get that sticky feel. After that, I just gave a few sprays and its not a problem. I felt like the spritz helped it stay straight longer especially on humid days.

BTW, I am 16 months post and it works wonders on my new growth. No one knows I'm transitioning when I use this with my Chi. When I tell people I decided not to relax anymore, they say it looks like I never needed to relax because my hair looks so great when I use this.

This is a really good product, however I agree with all of you on the spritz, it really doesn't do justice. I still use it but instead of spraying on sections of my hair, I spray it all over my hair, and then apply Carol's Daughter Tui Oil (a little goes a LONG way and helps give you EXTRA shine), then flat-iron.

Only downside is that I workout 3 times a week so it doesn't last as long because of all the sweat.

How often are you using the thermasmooth system? Are you still using the flat iron throughout the week?

I'm interested in transitioning using Mizani Thermasmooth....

I have been wanting to purchase this 4 step to use on my dd (natural) its so pricey...I was thinking of just getting step 3/4. but really want to try to use the shampoo and conditioner...I may have to break down:lachen:

I've seen pics from Dontspeakdefeat for straightening her natural clients.
