I put mine in a bottle with about 3 oz of water. small amount of glycerin and small amount of castor oil.
And it went on dry as well. But after my hair begin to dry it was only then that it seem to become soft. It actually held it''s moisture all day. My hair stayed soft, but sticky.
I didnt like word of curls activator, it left my hair dry..besides that I have a HORRIFIC story to share..lol
I went to the gyno and before I slicked my hair back with that World of curls(didnt use a lot). Anyways after the exam, I got up to get dressed and there is a BIG OLE wet stain on that paper sheet thing from where my head was laying..yea never again. Beware of the gel..
Yes...I used it this morn after CO washing and it just didnt feel too good, By the end of the day my hair was literally strawlike..I touched my bangs to move them out of my face and a strad of my hair broke....never again...NEVA!!!!
this is my favorite activator. i've been using it for a couple of years, i think. i mix it with Fantasia IC gel and use it to slick my hair back in the bun. when it dries, my hair isn't sticky or stiff.
i love this activator for my kids hair. they are both 3b curlies and it keeps their hair moisturized all day. they are outside alot and it does not dry up and look flaky like some products do. i like the moisturizing properties for my hair also, but it does not provide the "hold" that i need when i wear my hair curly. i use it to slick back for buns and i use some "wet" or kemi shea butter pomade to smooth down the edges.
cheerbear, i agree with your description of how the woc feels. i guess thats how it is supposed to feel. i like it though.
Well I just had to add to this thread and thank Adrienne for constantly touting the benefits of this product. I'm on serious "ends patrol" after some recent self trimming, and was digging around among my products and found a brand new tube of this I had never used. I did a rollerset and then used a sime sized amount on my ends with some jojoba oil and put it into a bun. This stuff rocks and is going to be a big help on my Wanakee challenge. I wasn't getting the moisture I needed from oils alone and I wasn't in the mood for a cream. My hair is totally smooth and so soft. I just took the bun down for a minute and my hair feels awesome. I'm going to stick to this for a while and see how it goes!
