Hey ladies so you find that the first 2 days you wash your hair and style it, it does not look as good at the latter part of the week...for me when it comes to the end of the week when I am ready to wash it, it looks its best. I am assuming becuase by then the oils I have added for moisture have a change to settle into my hair.

Just struck me as funny...I wonder if that is where that tale about your hair being healthy the dirtier it is comes from. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I personally don't find my hair looks better the dirtier it is, but I prefer my style when it's more worn and carefree looking. When it's just done it's just too prissy looking for my liking.

For me, my hair looks better the first few days after it has been washed. The dirtier my hair gets the stickier it gets. My hair starts to look dry, stringy and limp. My youngest sister is the opposite. Her hair looks like a big fuzz ball after its been washed. The dirtier her hair is the less fuzzy and frizzy it looks. I guess it really depends on hair type.

Nah, my hair looks much better when it's freshly shampooed. After a few days, it starts to look dry and brittle. The ends also tend to "poof up". I'm sure if I wrapped it up every night like I'm supposed to I wouldn't have this problem.

Funny you mentioned this. My hair reacts the same way. Somewhere around the 4th or 5th day, my hair really looks good. Very healthy, strong and straight looking.

From my experience, I think it is due to the wrapping of the hair every night, which smoothes out my cuticles and

Yes, Eyvonne, my hair reacts the same way. When I style it (I usually roller set it with medium rollers for a curly look), it looks pretty good just after it's washed. But it looks a heck of a lot better come wash day.

LOL same here...after i wash my hair its so limp and flat...i like it better 2 days after a wash when it has sheen body and just looks great overall

Same thing happens to me too girl. My hair definitely looks better a few days after I've done it. However, I don't think the same is true for when I get it done at the shop. Seems like it looks the best fresh from the shop, and then I have trouble maintaining it afterwards.

My hair looks better the day after washing.

I normally do my hair at night and then tie it down for bed. The next morning my hair is at its best, the 2nd and 3rd day are okay, but I normally have to shampoo and condition again on the 3rd or 4th day to get the same effect.

But, I think it is how you wear your hair and the products you use. In the past I have had styles that look better as it gets dirtier. But, that was because my hair seemed to be more moisturized as time went on. Now, for some reason, my hair is more moisturized right after shampoo days. That's why I think products play a part.

My hair definitely looks better 2 or 3 days after I've washed it...
I guess the moisturizers/oils have had time to settle in by then??
