 Hi HWAY...

I have several books that I'd like to share with you.

Stormie O'Martian is an author of several prayer books which I know will bless you.

I'll be back with more a little later, okay? :yep: I have an errand to take care of, but I'll be back. :Rose:

Thank you Miss Shimmie. I love Stormie O'Martin's books. I look forward to reading the suggestions of you and the other ladies suggest.

As promised here are some others that I have been blessed by:

Michelle McKinney Hammond:

I have a few of her books and I just found her website...:yep:

Shaunti Feldhahn and husband Jeff Feldhahn

They wrote these books which I found to be a blessing :yep:

For Men Only and For Women Only

and then of course.

Joyce Meyer:

Thank you HWAY for posting this thread! This is perfect timing because I was just thinking I need to step up my Bible studying and was thinking about asking for a recommendation from the ladies in this forum. Thank you Shimmie for posting your response!

Thanks for recommendations Shimmie. I will definitely research all if them. AtlantaJJ, thanks for the encouragement. Our bible/book discusions have been a blessing to me since I joined this church but we need some revitalizing.

AtlantaJJ and HWAY :giveheart:

It is 'I' (Shimmie) who thanks the two of you for allowing me to share. I have a great number of books that I have collected. These are the ones that stood out when I read HWAY's post. :yep:

Two of the most awesome books for a Woman's Bible Study are The Book of Ruth and the Book of Esther, directly from our Bibles. Adding to those are Proverbs 31 and the Song of Solomon.

(Guess what? I started to type the page numbers where you could find these stories in your Bibles.... BUT our Bibles do not have the same page sequences, not all Bibles are the same page count and scripture location.

 Don't mind me... It's past my bedtime. :sleep2:

Anyhooooo...

It's a wonderful treasure for women to get together and re-read these Bible chapters and share what God has laid upon their hearts. :yep:

:blowkiss:

Thanks nappygirl. I'll research that book.
Shimmie, I like your suggestions as well. We've studied the books of Ruth and Esther in the past. Studying Proverbs 31 and the Song of Solomon are great suggestions.

I'm not sure if this book will apply to your study HWAY, but your thread inspired me to go through my library and I found this study that started but failed to complete. I need to complete this study:

"Through the Bible in One Year: A 52-Lesson Introduction to the 66 Books of the Bible"
by Dr. Alen B String Fellow

This Amazon review is a good summary of the book:
Through the Bible in One Year. Alan B. Stringfellow's rigorous Bible study is one of the few I've seen that takes you through the Bible starting at page one and reading through to the end. It has outlines, central themes, and study questions for each book of the Bible. It is designed to take you through the old testament the first 6 months and the new testament the remaining 6 months. This gives you much more emphasis on the new testament. The old testament sudies are designed to let you see how it points to Jesus Christ. The text of the Bible is not contained in this study making this a lot of study for your money. Excellent Bible study!

This study guide is to be used as you read through the Bible. Since I have not read the Bible in it's entirety, I am feeling lead to pick this study/reading back up and take it to completion. I've been rather disorganized with my studies. I know I'll be blessed to complete this study.

That book sounds good for my personal bible study or when preparing to teach a lesson.

Let me return to amazon.com to spend more money..........

I second the Shaunti Feldhahn books!

Also, Lies Women Believe by Nancy Lee Demoss & Wired that Way by Marita Littauer.
