Woa! Check out my new growth!

Hi guys! sorry it's taken me so long to get back but between all that's been going on this week I can only really sit after the kids go to sleep and then hubby starts demanding my time. I measured the new growth and its about 3 inches. I've been very nervous with having this much because I've never had to deal with it beyond 12 wks. The only time I have issues with it is trying to detangle it after washing but I just nipped that in the bud. I started bunning it right in the shower and letting it dry untouched for an hour or so. Then I take it down, carefully rub my leave in and oils (coconut and sometimes wgo thru the scalp) and rebun it without combing. The next day when it's completely dry I use my water spritz to lightly dampen it enough to easily comb and either oil or moisurize the newgrowth then rebun. I'm washing once a week and doing cond. washes in between. I've been trying to be consistant with my vitamins again and I've been juicing like crazy, making sure to use "hair" foods. I really want to get my hair cornrowed but until then I will be bunning and braiding (native american style) and only touching it about every other day to massage my scalp and check the condition of my new growth as to whether it needs some oil/spritz and profectiv roothealth. I'm having more tangle issues with my relaxed hair than my real hair though, lol! They're like Ying and Yang. My new growth loves water and is so easy to manipulate when wet but my relaxed hair gets tangled. I'm really nervous. Sometimes when I'm tring to measure to see where I am the sides will touch bra strap but the middle is still lagging because it started off damaged and way shorter. Then other days I can't even seem to get a grip on my hair to measure it! I keep worrying that I'm going to relax and discover for all my new growth, I'm still in the same spot! I'm really hoping to reach bra strap with no quesioning if I'm really there by early 2005 but Dec this year would be a great gift! Do you guys think my constant bunning wet will be ok? I'm using only silk and satin scrunchies. If all goes well I will be able to touch up by about mid October, although, if I find a cheap braider and I'm happy and feel safe (that I wont damage my hair or go backwards) then I might braid until Dec and relax then. I keep worrying that my hairdresser is going to use the opportunity to try to either relax "all" my hair or get the scissors when I do come in. I didn't expect so much response to my post and was quite shocked because I'm such a little mouse! Thanks for the support. I'm open to any ideas on preserving my hair at this stage guys so feel free to bombard me!

P.S. Calbear, yep, all that was under those two dinky braids! They like to do some serious shrinking up. lol!

That's hot! Congrats
