Hello ladies. I decided to go ahead and start the thread for this weeks reading.

Any comments?
Any questions?
Did something stand out that has never stood out to you before?

Post it here.

I'll start:

Could you imagine what the people thought of Noah, a drunken man, who said that God told him that it was going to rain, and that he was to build an ark. It had never rained before. Water "came up"(for lack of a better word) from the ground. They didn't need rain. I hope I wouldn't have thought he was crazy. I thank God that I wasn't there to find out if I would have.

 Girl I probably would have had my doubts too. You know how you see these people on the corner with these cardboard signs saying Jesus is coming next week and stuff...I look at them like  and keep movin. I probably woulda thought Noah was one of them and been like, "Riiiiight, rain, uh-huh:nuts:
But except for the grace of God, there go I.

Last night, I read about conversion and the three steps of conversion. First, there's the commitment to God, then the branching out into the church and fellowshipping with believers and finally there's going back into the world to witness and spread God's word.

I thought it was interesting, and I think a lot of Christians get stuck and comfortable in stage 2. When we're surrounded by believers, it's comfortable and easy to tell what God has done for us. But when we get out into the world with folks who may not agree or may not have knowledge of Christ, things are a much less comfortable. I want to make it a point to do more witnessing this year, and bring unbelievers into the fold so that they can understand salvation even if they don't accept it. I believe that I've been committing sins of ommission, and I need to work on that this year.:look:
