Well ladies, after 5 months I decided to go ahead and relax..:look:
I have a very important, special event coming up and my hair lately has been lookin like pur crap!
Well after thinking long and hard about it, I have come to the decision that relaxed hair best suits my life style right now..:yep:

So here is my question: Tonight I bought the ORS olive oil relaxer(normal)
The probem is that I have so much new growth! It is very course and very thick!!! But this relaxer says it is for fine to medium hair texures..what does that mean?
Will normal work for me or should I have gotten super?

I didnt want to get super because I dont want my hair to be bone straight!
Will this relaxer work or should I return it and get super?
I need your help purrrrdy pleaaaaaaase!!!

Is it lye or no-lye. Lye relaxers don't relax as bone straight as no-lye relaxers. I have used the ORS no-lye relaxer before and I like it, but no-lye relaxers dry my hair out so I stopped using it. I would not get a super. If you have loads of new growth, DO NOT go with a stronger relaxer. I would make really really narrow parts and use a lot of relaxer to make sure your hair gets straight. Also, since you are dealing with 5 months of growth, make sure you are getting relaxer on all of your new growth. I wash my hair a week before my relaxer. Since I rollerset, part of my new growth gets straightened out by the roller. I have been underprocessed after a stretch in the past because I did not get relaxer on that part of my new growth that was straightened out by the roller. I hope this helps.
