i want to create a horse shoe leaving the nape the front and a little of the sides out

This has nothing to do with your question, what brand of hair is your half wig and where can i find it? :D

I would only leave out a smidgen of hair. I think the problems with not matching come out when we leave out too much hair. Of course you will probably have to manipulate your hair with braidouts/twistouts to match, whichever you prefer. Looks closer to a braidout texture in the pic. I've just started playing around with half wigs again and I just slick the front of my hair down and wear a headband. However, check out Youtube for ideas. I was surprised by one video in which the lady was natural, she pulled out a 'tiny' amount of hair and didn't need to twist it or anything, just covered that front hump.

ok i just know i want to probably be able to pull it back in a pony tail. i probably wont leave much out like 2-3 inches back because i hair might suff from the daily gel applying and the manipulation. im really trying to give my hair a break. another person on hair sisters suggested that it looks better when u separate the curls
