will i regret putting in senegalese twists on flat ironed natural hair?

i finally summoned up the strength to put in these senegalese twists again. they are beautiful and *low maintenance*, but the reason i have procrastinated so long is because i knew i would have to do it myself and didn't have the patience for a 8 to 10 hour twisting session. my hair is currently flat ironed, and i know that i should wash it and DC and all before twisting it up, but frankly i don't feel like it when that will add another 2-3 hours to the process. part of me is saying "go on, do it, you've done them on blow dried hair before, isn't that the same?" and another part of me is saying "you're nuts, they're gonna look so dumb when you cowash them later this week and your hair shrinks back up". someone talk some sense into me, please.

Well, whenever I do my braids and twists, I wash, DC and then blow dry before twisting.
So if you're concern is about installing them on straight hair then you should be fine.

But I still think you should DC your hair before doing them.
