Short and simple: It stinks...literally.

i have it now and it STINKS BADLY. this is the second bottle i've gotten, and while the smell is putrid, if you combine it with another oil it isnt that bad in my opinion.

i must say that im not sure what the oil is supposed to do tho. i saw a advertisement poster where the girl's hair is out of control before the oil and then nice and silky after the oil...trust me, it doesnt do that!

the first time i used it, it was with my first, last, and only weave (sew in). i read so much about it and i tried it and it seemed to make my hair grow, but then again i dont know if it was because i was taking better care of my hair or the new oils i was using. my hair is currently in braids now and has been for 2 weeks and i have new growth already...so i dont know, its hard to judge, but if you do buy it, make sure you wash your hair often or use it sporadically if dont wash often or your hair will reek!

It dried my scalp out, which is the main reason why I gave out on it. But there are many people who have successful results with it.

yeah it keeps my scalp oiled....i oiled the other nite and then i went to the mall. i was standing in line playing in my hair and i took it out and looked at my hand it was covered in oil..hmmm, is that good or bad?

a young lady i know recommended this because she claims it makes your hair grow about an inch a month.... my hair is already a little past shoulder lenght and i would at least like for it to be bra strap lenght..... if it smells i dont know if I want to try it.

I used to use this oil and I really liked it b/c it softened my new growth but I could not stand the stench of it

. You may not have a problem with the oil if you wash or rinse your hair often. If that crap sits on your scalp for about a week, it starts to smell putrid indeed as Honeydrop said.

I just bought WildGrowth Oil but havent used it yet.The smell is weird but not so bad to me.I guess I was expecting it to smell worse from the way everyone talks about it.

and it does make my hair grow and i wash once a week.

you can give it a try tho...things that do good for you dont always smell good..penicillin, aphogee treatment, cod liver oil and cod liver oil (omega 3 fatty acids) vitamins

I've just started using it for about 2 weeks now and it does make the hair smell but I don't put a lot in my hair anyway. I just put it on the scalp. I have not noticed any new growth from it but I can surely say that it makes the hair softer and a little more manegeable.

I liked Wild Growth a lot. The smell wasn't a problem for me. I used it on my hair every few days, especially the ends. The oil was also very good to slick onto wet hair after shampooing. It's too heavy to use every day, but it did a great job of keeping my hair moisturized. The only reason I'm not using it now is because I'm in braids and I prefer something lighter for my scalp.

LondonDiva posted that she mixed WGO with Carrot Oil (ORS, I think), which worked well for her hair. I tried this combo also and loved it.

I only wear it on my ends. I did not experience any growth from it. I must admit I probably will not buy it again. Just was not that impressed.

yeah i combine mine with ORS Olive Oil

It doesn't smell bad to me... I guess it smells different on everyone... like a perfume would. It's great for softening my new growth. I use it every ime I wash, after that I only use about 8 drops a day (on the ends of my hair only)

Have you ladies that don't like it used it on your hair while wet?
I love using this stuff right after I wash my hair, it makes it sooo soft and moisturized.

Ditto. This is how I use WGO, too. The smell dissipates when used on wet or damp hair

I use it on wet or damp hair right after a wash or condition. I squirt about a nickel size amount in my palm and then put about a dime-to-nickel size amount of castor oil on top of it...I rub that between my palms and smooth through each section of my hair.( I wash and detangle in 4-6 sections) I have extremely thick, naturally nappy, kinky, coily hair. I have been doing this for over a year and the combination is PERFECT for moisturizing my thick natural hair.

WGO is also great when mixed in a spray bottle with diluted Lottabody. I sprtz in on when rollersetting and my curl are always perfectly shiny and bouncy, but have lots of hold. This technique is especially good for stretching out my relaxer, yet maintaining my new growth because I don't have to do a lot of manipulating.

I wash my hair 3 times a week. I apply WGO to my scalp and UBH creme moisturizer throughout, wrap it and sit under the hooded dryer. My hair comes out soft, straight, shiny. I love the results. I think I will try what someone said about mixing it with lottabody, too. That sounds like it would be great to stretch out my new gorwth when it gets close to relaxer time.

It stinks to me period.

I tried WGO on one side of my head and Organics olive oil and clove on the other and my hair preferred organics better and it's cheaper too. I will not purchase WGO again. Be careful of counterfeit WGO.
