has anyone notice that since wearing a wig your hair has dried out? My hair has turned out almost crunchy  ! the only reason I started wearing it, is because I just started a p.t. job at a retail store. I started washing and Con washing but it only dried OUT MORE ! SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!! I'm at the point where I'm going to go get somemore block braids, and call it a DAY! :crying3:

I never noticed that problem....how are you wearing ur hair under the wig? is ur hair wet or dry when you put the wig on? Do you have a different regimen when you wear the wig than when you don't wear it?

same routine, but sometime I wear my hair in plaits. should use a braid spray or some thing? oh yeah my hair is dry.

I wear a scarf under my wig and it does help tremendously. Other things that may help are over-moisturizing ur hair before you put on the wig (kinda like how people do the baggie....just putting a whole lot of moisturizer on your hair). Also letting your hair almost completely dry before covering it (my hair dries out badly if I cover it without letting it dry first...it also eats my ends up).

What are you covering your head with daily? What are you applying to your ends? I would suggest a satin cap to prevent dryness. In addition, my biggest mistake when I first began wearing my instant weave was not moisterizing my ends everyday.

make sure your mouisturizing your hair at nights and letting your hair breath! only wear the wig + cap when you have to... since you can just throw it on and go anyway.

What I Do As Far As Moisturizing My Hair Daily Is Every Day I Moisturize My Scalp With A Mixture Of S-curl, Glover's, Mtg, Surge And Wgo Oil Along With My Baggie On My Ends. And Then I Put On My Wig Cap Underneath My Wig And Keep It Moving. Then When I Get Home From Work I Take My Wig Cap Off And Moisturize Again And My Sleep Cap And My Hair Stays Moisturized And Break Free.

Great! I'm glad I did this search! Since I just bought my first wig which I plan on wearing, now I know not to put it on until my hair is completely dry and to moisturize my hair daily underneath the satin cap I wear over my hair. Thanks guys!

Watch the elastic from the satin cap or wig cap. It can damage your edges (this is from my experience). I couldn't tell if it was that or the synthetic hair rubbing against my hairline but something was eating up my edges no matter what I applied to them . . .

I have been wearing the lace front wig errryday :D for almost the past 9 weeks. I normally have fairly dry hair but my hair is not anymore dry than before. I have been washing and conditioning once/week. Applying leave in (pic). Let it air dry. Then apply a lil raw shea butter and braid it up. I dont wear a full wig cap. I am applying the MTG every night. Just a lil b/c I dont want any stray animals chasing me around due to smell :lachen: I sometimes apply a lil scurl (to help w/the NG) or additional Shea maybe once during the week. But thats it and my hair is still keep moist and soft and the MTG is the only thing I am using daily b/c I am trying not to mix too many products so that I will know what is actually working....

The leave in...
