Why is it that when God bless you w/ somethin' (material).... Y do you lose your associates? Famiy?

Why is it that when you get blessings on the job(promotions)...Everyone starts talking about you?

Why is it that when you get blessed w/a GOOD man that loves you for you....Everyone want to know what do he see in you?

Why is it that when you try to stay away from people who DON'T mean you any good...They say: UM' she think she all dat' huh?

I'm sorry to come to you all w/ this but heaven knows...I AM TIRED OF THIS NONSENSE! I mean it's really starting to bother me! What more can I do? I've completely stopped going around my family(except my mother and father) and I stay probably 30 min. from the majority of em'.

I go to work and speak to everyone, but I no longer hold conversations w/ them..

This mess is killin' me inside! I use to try and tell them "Just believe, have faith and ALWAYS involve HIM in whatever you do and I Promise you, you'll succeed"... But they still continue to try to handle things in the flesh.

Is it my fault?

I keep feeling like I'm the problem...WHY?

Will someone please pray for me...Thank you all

Trea in GOD's presence there is fullness of Joy. The devil puts things, people, and situations in our way in order to distract us or make us feel unworthy of our blessing and to take away our joy. Thereby making us feel uncomfortable or weary of having good things happen, having joy and being in GOD's presence. Trust me I understand what you are saying. Do you know how many people had so much negativity toward me being a minister and still do? However you have to flip the script and get into GOD's presence even more. Take comfort in knowing that your blessings come from the LORD and what GOD has for you it is for you. So let them hate and talk you just keep on moving and pray for them. The scripture that helped me with this is Matthew 5:44. The devil used to use people to attack me in order to hold me back and that is what he is doing to you. It used to make me feel bad about getting good news because of the comments but no more. I will be praying for you I know that GOD will bring you through this. Q

Girl I totally feel you on this one. I got a promotion at work and the folks that I thought would be happy for me have started avoiding me. They used to invite me to lunch and come by my office to chat, but now they don’t.

When I was going through my weight challenge, there were people around me being “supportive.” Now that I’ve lost some weight and others are starting to compliment me, my “so-called friends” are just snarling up their nose.

Not to mention my own family. After my divorce I had to live with my dad. Once I got on my feet, God blessed me to buy a new house. Some of my family members were actually so jealous that they went and bought themselves a bigger house!

So, I totally understand what you’re going through. But I thank God that he has exposed all of these people’s real intentions toward me. By exposing them, he is showing me who I can and cannot trust. Some folks can’t handle when others are blessed. I on the other hand, praise God when other people are blessed because I know He is no respecter of persons and what He does for others, He’ll do for me too!

Sorry to write so much, but this strikes a cord with me too. Keep your head up. It’s not you. It’s them! I’ll be praying for you.

Man, you must have been in my head when you wrote this! I've come to understand this exact thing within the past year. You have to learn who you can and can't trust and that everyone who smiles in your face is not necessarily your friend. Sad, I know.
