I don't buy Commerical products. I have given up on the chemical Soups.

1% of my stuff is "commercial".

Yeah girl its in alot of our hair products

its able to fill in lost lipids in the hair

and its an emolliant and it absorbs

I don't know why it would be considered dangerous though, considering that people use it as a nipple cream while they are nursing...or is it not the same thing?

yup its just that good of an emolliant that it keeps that sensitive area from cracking and what not when breast feeding

and there are grades made that are safe for the baby

I think you meant "lanolin" not "lincoln". None of those products have made my hair fall out, over processed it, or caused breakage, shedding, or splits. But I do chose not to use them since there are so many great alternatives.

Thanks. I was wondering what the heck "lincoln" was :lachen:

Mineral oil and petrolatum, when used correctly, work for a lot of people.

I agree :yep: I meet with one old lady with bras strap health hair and when I asked her what she used. She said pure mineral oil, the one in drug stores for constipation :lachen:
