Well it's great to know your scalp wasn't bleeding

I saw the derm and she thinks it is the dye, I do have relaxer scabs but they weren't bloody in any way.

You're just fine!

What'll you do now? Space out your relaxer touchups farther? Use a milder chemical?

She says that although they already tell people to not relax and dye that she personally feels adding rinses with relaxing may be too much for some people's scalp and lead to irritation. It also didn't help that I was scratching up a storm prior to relaxing.

Yah, even though the Sebastians isn't damaging, I definitely wouldn't do it on the same day that I relax. My scalp is prone to irritation from relaxers, so I know that adding anything else on top of it would spell disaster for me...

Actually, now that I think about it, I remember one time I was going on vacation, and didn't feel like dyeing my hair myself before I went, so I had my stylist give me a semi-permanent color on the same day as my touch-up -- big mistake, cuz my scalp was ON FIRE as soon as the color touched it!! It was agony, and after all that, the stupid color he used didn't even take, so I ended up having to do it myself anyway!! $40 down the drain, but that's another issue!!

I went 9 weeks in between this time. I have gone up to 11 weeks once before. I had some underprocessing that I wanted to take off because I realized that my last 3 inches of hair is gapy because of the straight ends snapping off from the underprocessed part. I could do it all over again I would have fixed the underprocesed parts waaaaaaaay earlier and just not done the roots at that time. So now that the underprocessed part is fixed (I hope) I will try and go 12 weeks inbetween or I will just transition. Right now I am leaning towards transitioning.

Lindy- THe funny thing is that I don't really like the color that it came out (too dark).
Hiza- Thank you for your sympathy and your hair is soooooo beautiful by the way.
