Why does my hair feel very dry after blow drying on low heat?

Would changing my leave in to silicon free make any difference?
At salons, they use silicon leave ins and the hair feels smooth each time.
Tips ladies, please.

I have this same issue. Even if I use moisturizing products like shampoo, conditioner and deep conditioner. My hair is as dry as the Sahara when I blow dry on cool and low heat

Your need to use better leave ins before you blow dry.

Have you used the APB butters or creams to blow dry? I've been lurking the vendor page and wanted to know if anyone did it.

I've used the APB leave in spray and hair creme before blow drying (with CHI Keratin Silk Infusion as my heat protectant) with great results. Smooth, soft, moisturized hair each time (twice so far).

Hmm, this sounds like a cuticle problem. Are you blow drying in a downward direction? Using something that closes cuticles (ie, ACV, AVJ, Roux PC, FPS)? etc

Saludable84 has. She liked it. I have used the creams after blow drying, not before yet.

Ive used it but not on high heat. I think I used it on the lowest heat setting. It wasn't bad, I used it because it has silk amino acids in it and the instructions say you can. It left my hair soft and without residue which for me was surprising.

Your blow dryer may be the culprit.

Edit: Meaning a bit pricier dryer might give you the results you're looking for. I bought the Jilbere Porcelain dryer and the difference between that and my old conair is remarkable.

Are you deep conditioning prior? Are you using a heat protectant? I apply my heat protectant while my hair is damp. My hair comes out soft.

But I blowdry on medium or high heat. I don't like how my hair feels on cool.

Make sure you use a good blow dryer, a good leave in, deep condition prior, use protein prior, and use a good heat protectant. I use Fantasia IC serum and my hair comes out super soft. Also, you need to air dry to at least 50% before hitting it with the blow dryer.

greenandchic I don't use it often at all. Maybe once every couple months to stretch..
