hey ladies. i'm confused. i know why MN works, i know why sulfur works - the active ingridients in these things, increase blow flow, etc, etc.
but why does alma and shakai work? are these oils really any better/have any better results than reg ol' jojoba or coconut or avocado oil. Pls explain. sorry if this has been asked already. TIA

They work in a very similar ways. Both Shikakai and Alma are natural astringents. Shikakai oil cleans and exfoliates the scalp. Alma oil moisturizes and conditions the hair and scalp. It also has the ability to darken the hair and help with breaking and excessive shedding. I love the way Alma oil makes my hair feel. I can feel the Shikakai working when I massage it into my scalp.

There isn't much different other than most ayuredic products are made in India and are very PURE, POTENT and CHEAP.

Thanks so much - 2 more questions - 1. the one i got on-line has mineral oil, is that ok? i only use it as prepoo so it cant do much harm, i think. Do they sell any without mineral oil? if so, please share the name brand
2.i'm transitioning (1 year into it) so its hard to get ANYTHING on my scalp. can i still benefit from it just being on my hair?
THANKS AGAIN!!! I think thats the fastest response ever to one of my posts. :lachen:
