u know, i really like getting my hair done at the salons, but some of them wash so rough...they scratch and pull , like they are trying to pull your hair out, or maybe they dont realize they are washing so harsh...i dunno.........does this happen to u?

I no longer go to salons, but my last one made my head feel like it was in a blender!

It would tangle really badly from all of her "extra" agitation. She thought she was really "doin' it" and then asking me, "if that felt good". H#$@ Naw!!!

Afterwards, I felt like I was a cartoon character with a ring of "coo-koo birds" flying around my head.

My tender head doesn't miss having finger nails dug into my scalp or getting that intense heat from the dryer when they blow out your roots! I am not lying when I say that I use to tear up on every visit!

they not only wash rough, but blowdry rough too. this lady was so rough with that freakin brush I wanted to hit her. I think part of the reason why she was so rough is the fact that she didn't want to do it in the first place. when the guy in charge told her to blow dry my hair she seemed to get upset and said no, he was supposed to do it. anyway, i think i will go to them when i need a nice hairdo, which is rare. there bad attitudes and lack of tenderness is becoming a bit much to handle. alos he charged me an extra $15 bc he said i needed a relaxer and i wouldnt get one, it was too soon.

I noticed that too! My ex-stylist used to be like extra rough with her nails. The fact that she had those long, fake nails didn't help much either.

I really hate when they wash hair like this b/c my transitioning hair will tangle so badly. This is why I haven't been to a salon to have my hair washed since December.

I love when they rubbing my scalp rough. It its like a great massage. My hair never tangles though. I just love a touch rough wash.

I love rough washing and I'm suuuuuper tenderheaded. While it's being done it's a lil uncomfortable but afterwards it feels like I got a great massage. Plus, after not scratchin my head for a couple of days before the relaxer, the relief is great. My hair does tangle like crazy but my stylist handles the tangles great. She's the best

Bad stylist! My hair dresser is MAAAAD rough, but I never have an issue with tangling. Rather, the opposite! It's be really straight with lot's of slip.

I love it when stylist wash rough because it loosens all the follicles that are about to shed anyway. And my scalp feels so much cleaner then when I do it. Especially, what ChiBrasileira about "not scratchin my head for a couple days before the relaxer." Whew! When you get to the stylist, that's the best relief ever!

True...they do wash pretty roughly..The last time I went to the salon, I felt like my head was on fire because she scrubbed my scalp so hard after washing out the relaxer. Normally, I don't have a problem with it because they ease the itching that I have from not scratching my head before getting a perm, but this last time it was ridiculous!

tell them to not be so harsh lol... I guess I'm spoiled my stylist is studying massage and reflexology so she does some miracle stuff to my scalp lol
