I never understood this :perplexed Queen Helene Cholestrol has sls in it. I think elucence conditioner does too because it lathers up like a soap when you mix it with water.

Why, why, why do they do this :nono:

Someone educate me on the logic of this :yep:

I've always wondered the same thing. I used to try to convince myself that it was a good thing, especially when cowashing - thinking even though I was ladling up a pound of conditioner on my head, my scalp would get clean without having to take extra steps (like an ACV rinse) to get it clean.

It's a surfactant so I see no need to have my conditioner lather up even a little bit, if there is no reason behind it :nono:

Just found the ingredients to elucence...SLS is not in the ingedients.

Panax Ginseng root extract, cetraria islandia (Irish Moss) extract, saccharomyces cerevisiea (Brewer's Yeast) extract, Gingko Biloba extract, pimpinella anisum (Anise) fruit extract, prunis persica (Peach) extract in purified water, hexadecanol, stearakonium chloride, certimonium bromide, Squalane (olive oil lipid), Capric Caprillic Triglycerides (coconut fatty acids), Panthenol (pro-vitamin USP), Biotin (USP), imisazolidinyl urea, methylparaben (USP), fragrance

Elucence lathers a lot so I'm still curious, I also left it one time overnight and my cuticle was hard and I love emb as a detangler-it's one of my staple conditioners :ohwell: I wonder what is in it that would create lather?
